Happy Birthday InsaneTomato,
I have the complete mount and blade collection which I just got a week or so ago. I have yet to play it, but I will play Mount and Blade with you. I don't have chivalry yet, but add me and we can play M&B anytime :)

My birthday was on Dec. 31st. This was not my first but this one was worst than the rest. I woke up mid-afternoon said happy birthday to myself made some food ate it. Played some steam games for like 4 hrs and went to sleep. No one even realized it was my birthday, nor did I care to tell them.

Happy Birthday!
I'd play something with you, but until I get my new PC running I can't really play very much at all. I'm stuck playing older games until then. Not that I can complain about playing awesome games like Arcanum and Jagged Alliance 2. =P

If your playing a lot of older game I recommend the original xcom games, and possibly dink smallwood(its free)

I haven't been able to bring myself to purchase any of those, even though during the sale they were extremely cheap. =\ I do want them, but I'm pretty picky when it comes to spending my money. =P I have been playing the new Xcom on someones laptop, when I get the chance to, and I'm really liking it. I've also been playing UFO: Afterlite on my PC, which is like the older Xcom games. I'm going to check out UFO: AI soon probably, which is even more like the old Xcom games, but free, ha.
I've seen a lot of people mention Dink Smallwood (haha, that name..) but for some reason I haven't tried it out yet. I'll find it and maybe give it a try tomorrow.

Happy birthday to you pal!! I hope you'll enjoy your newfound freedom. Here, let me give you a hug as a birthday gift!! It should come in handy if you ever start feeling too lonely!!
c( ◕ ‿ ◕)っ hugs InsaneTomato
Well that was the squishiest hug I've ever had. To be completely honest, I've never hugged a tomato before ≧‿≦

That is one sour pussy, not the best example to convince someone of the aweomeness of pussies. You should have used a picture of a sweeter and cuter pussy, like this one.

...Try to have a bit of a happy birthday. :( I know how awful it is losing family and loved ones. I doubt you'll ever stop missing them (I never stopped missing people after years now), although the pain turns more into a bunch of bittersweet memories. Even if it hurts, never let go of the memories. Ever. I know it'll take time, but I hope you'll find some peace in all this eventually.
If you need anyone else to talk to or whatever, I'm often just sitting around on Steam doing nothing (...or well, working on online courses, but signed in to talk on the side lol).

Aw, but I only get two classes a week. What else am I supposed to do? Actually play all the games I bought?

...Meanwhile, I wish I had more courses (especially C++; the next course still doesn't seem to be back on the list ;_;). I only started with shorter, cheaper beginner's courses to be sure it was what I really wanted, and now I absolutely love programming and have to sit around waiting for more. After having a job since I was 10, I never thought I'd willingly ask for more work, school or otherwise... but here I am, wishing that class would hurry back. lol

Programming :S I actually did some basic level programming at university, was a complete nightmare for me :P Took me 2 whole hours just to make a box move across the screen and back!
What sort of job does a 10 year old get? D: That means you should be retiring when you're 50 or so! Yay for early retirement!
If you wish upon a star, anything can happen. So the question is, did you wish upon a star? Seriously though, shorter, cheaper beginner courses are always a good idea. Don't want to splurge out all your money on something you may not like. I know plenty of people like that >.<

Paper carrier first (started as a route that took less than an hour on foot - ended as a route that took 4 hours in a car), and for a while I was working under the table cleaning up at a restaurant (that was a bit later though, but I was still too young to go on payroll :p).

Please, allow me to advise you in this case to push yourself forward... well, yourself. I discovered in my life one of the most important things one needs to learn is to actually be able to learn new stuff on one's own. In fact, I am afraid that is something I personally am still lacking at greatly. Also I have to point out having some experience in programming in a couple of different languages that programming (or rather "learning new language/system/framework") is a huge part of a programmer's job. And that is also something he/she has to do on his/her own. Thus taking all of the mentioned above into the account I would sincerely encourage you to try and learn more programming yourself, especially, if you really like it. There are plenty of opportunities around, and not all of them require huge investment. The way I have been taught to program (and later enhanced my knowledge) would be to give yourself a task of "make a program that does this", create its algorithm and start writing the code. While coding you can use plenty of reference materials to find out what operators do what - it's available in free form everywhere including built-in help files. As for creating the algorithm, there are general guidelines, which one is advised to learn and follow, but it all primarily relies on common logic after all. ;)

Thanks for the encouragement, actually. :D I'm in the midst of a beginner's Java class, so it has me at least somewhat preoccupied learning the differences between the two languages, but part of me keeps itching to get back to C++. I've been doing a bit on my own, reading whatever books I can get my hands on, reading online, fiddling with Visual C++, etc, but I'm still feeling pretty lost with it (I only took a short 12 lesson class to try it out earlier and still haven't quite found the next step to take alone, although I just started reading a book that seems pretty promising). I've accomplished very minor things on my own (having better luck with Java though, despite still being in the middle of the course)... but I guess any accomplishment's a good one if I learned something new.
And I like the idea of just trying to make a program that does X task. I think I bit off more than I could chew the first time I did that with C++ (tried to make something far too complex instead of starting small and learning some other basic concepts I was still lacking), but toying with Java I've been able to make basic things that (seem to be) error-proof so far. They're all pretty pointless (comparing things, converting numbers, etc), but it still feels nice to watch the code run properly. lol

Happy Birthday. Gonna feel a bit strange if it's the first without some family members, but I hope you can still enjoy yourself a little.
