Call of Juarez: The Cartel (47 on Xbox 360), it obviously wasn't the best and didn't have much of an interesting story but it was fun to play. Kane & Lynch 2 (63 on Xbox) was also fun but very short, beat it in 5 hours in one sitting. Some honorable mentions are Rhythm Zone (44), Krater (52) and others.

Post Apocalyptic Mayhem, really did find that a pretty good game considering the rating. Also, Orion: Dino Horde exceeded my expectations, far better than Killing Floor; it's not a great game by any stretch of the imagination, but it was fairly fun.

+1 for Watchmen. Fun little XBLA game, didn't like the second one as much though.

Spore : 84-4.9

Not "absolutely love" and many parts of this "game" are lacking, but I found the cell stage, the space stage and the creature editor pretty entertaining...
Sword of the Stars II: Lords of Winter (Enhanced Edition) : 65-7.1

I mostly play that because I still consider Sword of the Stars : Complete Collection (???-9.3) http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/sword-of-the-stars-complete-collection to be the best game ever made, and this one has an even bigger potential... hopefully it will end up being patched to a finished game state.

I use Metacritic to see if everybody hates the game because of crippling technical flaws. It's a good bet I'm going to hate the game too because nobody likes crippling technical flaws...
High scores are harder to use well, but by comparing critics and users you can get a pretty good idea of where a game's strengths and weaknesses lie. For AAA games, just magnify any problem a critic mentions. "Minor control issues" means frustrating enough to throw your keyboard out of the window, "the story is perhaps a bit shallow" means it's more laughably cliched than a Saturday morning cartoon, that sort of thing. Or just ignore the critics altogether and look at what the users say. In either case, scores are a lot less useful than specific criticism/praise.

Whenever anyone brings up Metacritic on here, it's almost immediately put down as meaningless.
So I thought I would ask...
Does anyone here have game that they absolutely love that has a low Metacritic score?
