Whenever anyone brings up Metacritic on here, it's almost immediately put down as meaningless.

So I thought I would ask...

Does anyone here have game that they absolutely love that has a low Metacritic score?

Good thing you can think for yourself and don't need some page to tell you what to buy

Legendary (50 score), or Krater (52 score).
I mean, both games have been accused of being very bland and boring, but I find them enjoyable.
Legendary filled my need for a fast, easy shooter when I felt it (still haven't finished it yet, but that's just me)
And I would easily give Krater around 80~ when they finally release co-op campaign.

That "can" work, but if you have them sorted into categories, they are still in their categories and won't all line up according to score.

I thought Bioshock was overrated.. maybe because I played it years after it came out but I felt it was repetitive. Even though the story was interesting I had a hard time finishing the game, I left it there for a few weeks before I came back and finished it playing the last 2 hours.

I played Bioshock right after it came out. Actually, it was the 1st game, that I played on my new (now old) computer. Before that, all I could play was Age of Empires II (that's all my PC could run). So Bioshock was such a great, new gaming experience, I was so excited and immediately fell in love with that game.

You're not the only one. I actually completed the game in a state of "waiting for it to get better". I appreciated the work that went into the theme of the setting but it was just a very average shooter aside from it's location choice. Nice braincandy I guess, but not much of a game-

Agreed. Poor gameplay with a great story. Bioshock 2 is better, but mostly because of the story.

The Amazing Spider-man (69 at Metacritic).

Almost all good indies have a low score. There are so many awesome indie games that I can't start doing a list. Also, there are lots of biased games on that list. I loved Deadpool for several things and it have a real low score for a mainstream game...

E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy has a score of 61, while it's just a fantastic game.

It's funny though, as basicly all reviews are like this:
"It's full of ambition and you'll love it. But we're just gonna give it a score of 50 anyway because no reason."

I believe they all try to hate it because it's the Source engine, but not from Valve itself.

That game should have stuck with just the shooting. It tried to do a lot of different things all at once and the result wasn't that great.
