GOTY should be Goose Game but that's not on steam yet, I realized that with most of the best games this year bc of the exclusive thingy. I really appreciate that now the games you nominate actually have to be from the same year, so Witcher 3 will stop winning every single year, same as Cuphead. On the other hand, like mentioned above, they should give us the option to look at all or most popular releases this year:

GOTY: Disco Elysium
VR: Beat Saber (the only VR game I've seen people play. Looked like fun)
Labor of Love: Pinball FX3
Better with friends: Destiny 2
Most Innovative: A Plague Tale
Story Rich: Cyndy (Not so random pick. Goty in the story department for sure.... Really didnt know what to pick...)
Best game you suck at: Man of Medan (I'm suprised a few of the people survived the trip)
Visual: Rage 2. (Again didnt know what to pick since RDR2 isnt available but I did put some fun hours in Rage 2 this year.)

I played a lot of cool games this year, but it turns out many werent from 2019.
My list doesnt really feel right though. I just picked the games I enjoyed the most and put them somewhere.

GOTY - RE2R (well, its a great game)
VR - Ultimate Fishing VR (didn't play, but i like fishing, so)
Labor of love - TF2 (It's been around for long and still going strong, even though large updates are rare)
Better with friends - Gears 5 (seems good, didn't play but still)
Most innovative gameplay - Final Fantasy VIII Remaster (Probably my fav game, even though the remaster seems to be not so good)
Story rich - Code Vein (didn't play, but seems good)
Game you suck at - Destiny 2 (Wasn't my game)
Visual style - Spyro (Great old classic that i used to play on the PS1)

The Game of the Year Award:
My Time at Portia - Personal choice, it sucked me into playing for 60+ hours easy...and I still haven't finished

The VR Game of the Year Award:
Beat Saber - Playing this earlier this year made me want VR, which I'm now in the process of buying haha

The Labor of Love Award:
Deep Rock Galactic -Super fun game with active devs

The Better With Friends Award:
Staxel - Fun game with friends, bugs and all. Might be pretty boring without someone else to build with/destroy/annoy etc)

The Most Innovative Gameplay Award:
I just picked Sekiro because meh,

The Outstanding Story-Rich Game Award:
Just put A Plague Tale: Innocence because it looks really interesting

The Best Game You Suck At Award:
Mordhau, I want to play this, but I just suck so bad and haven't gone back after I rage quit lol

The Outstanding Visual Style Award:
Spyro, Because I loved the art style

i barely get to see games to choose from because it looks like i played only 3 games that were released in the last 12 months. that's not really a pool worth picking from.

Voted for Deep Rock Galactic as 'labor of love'. Such a great game with awesome devs who constantly update the game and listen to the community. Best purchase I made in years, the game deserves all the attention it can get.
