Even when not region-restricted, these have always required prior approval from support to be given away. If you make such a giveaway, it will be deleted on sight if you have not gotten approval. Repeat unapproved submission will result in suspension, as will multiple copies, same as every other free key giveaway. Thank you.

Edit: This is in reference to Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor.

Seeing as this is an exploit we're talking about, you shouldn't expect me to provide details.

These are spoiled keys from CD-Action magazine, the same like Dark Messiah of M&M or Supreme Commander. If you really want to keep your steam account without any stolen games, avoid CoH giveaways. Nobody bought these games.

Thanks, if you wouldn't have said that "CD Action" is a magazine, I wouldn't have been able to undestand what this thread is about! I read it twice and was thinking what the hell is he talking about till I read your comment. :D

They are not stolen, CD-Action give away keys for few years, they are meant to be for readers.

Nope, they are not giving away them, these games are included on dvd with the magazine, which you need to buy in order to get the key. This particular game (Company of Heroes full) was included more than one year ago.

So why is their website providing keys to anyone who logs in from Poland? Is it a case of trusting people to do the right thing? (As in, only people who buy the magazine going for keys?)

Well, besides CoH:ToV none of these keys activate on Steam and are pretty much useless unless you already have the games. If you bought them somewhere else, you already have your key, and if you pirated them, why bother?
I believe the possibility of activation of ToV was added recently, so they will probably remove the keys once they find out.

Probably. Just like Dark Messiah was only a key for multi, but later Steam added the single player component as well to people who had the key...

If I take a key with CoH: Tales of Valor my Steam still be stolen? Are you serious? These are just KEYS, like the other games, how can they harm your account?

*EDIT! Now I get what you wanted to say, sorry.

Thank you for reminding me, that im active subscriber of CDAction and got almost all bought :) I suppose they should lock keys for people outside Poland (if they want to redeem), and there should be authentication that require barcode numbers input AND certain sentence from certain site.
