Looking for a really good game for $2.50 on Steam.

Preferably indie, and difficult.

No puzzle games, please.

I like very addictive and punishing games like anything by Edmund McMillen or the BIT.TRIP series.

Also games with good gameplay AND a good soundtrack, but that's just icing on the cake.

Binding of Isaac and Dungeons of Dredmor (not sure if Dredmor is lower than 2.5 without expansions tho).

The best 2.50 I ever spent was on Hitman BM, not sure if this is something you'll like though.

No Hitman games are below $9.99...

Sorry, my mistake.
I forgot that when I purchased some copies for me and some friends it was on sale, if it's a game that appeals to you though it is on sale for 75% off every chance they get. (every steam sale and sometimes on GMG 80% off)

-edit- How about Stealth bastard Deluxe?

$5! Hehe, you're making all of those mistakes about price!

Weird, I just checked steam and you're right, but it's listed on steamsales like this:
Stealth Bastard Deluxe + Soundtrack (View History)50% $1.99 USD Steam 1 day ago

Oh right, my bad. Fortix 2 is great too. I'm going to recommend HOARD. Pretty fun game about being a dragon and hoarding gold. It's co-op too so if you have friends who own it it'll be pretty fun I'm sure. How much is it on US Steam?

It's $2.50 without DLC. None of my friends have it, and I am interested but I have seen better suggestions so sorry!

(Also- I have Fortix 2! Won it as well!)

Indeed, I love it. To The Moon is better of course, but it's got a second spot I guess. Possibly shared second spot with Thomas Was Alone.

Bastion is so amazing, though.

I've gotten a couple of hours out of Dead Pixels so far, pretty fun game. Not sure how well it works on keyboard + mouse but It is great with an x-box controller.

Dead Pixels is fun but kinda short, I played it with keyboard and mouse. If you want to play COOP its only local last time I played it. Id say its worth the price.

I have OF. Can you recommend Dead Pixels or HSL to me? Is there anything special about them?

I'm not really interested in turn-based top downs, but if it's really quality I might give HSL a chance.

Oh man looks great. Honestly, this looks like the best suggestion aside from Dead Pixels.

Any replayability? Heard it's quite short.

There are two different endings, the PC version from what i hear is extended, and if you want to have a good gameplay experience, get all the DLC!

I've seen a lot of stuff saying it's waaaaaaaay too short, so I'll pass unless I hear some real good about it.

Yea, it's pretty short but for the price of it, i would recommend. ;)

Couple of things wrong with this that you may not have noticed!

My favorite game of all time, Rome Total War, is on sale right now over on Green Man Gaming. I played this thing for years. Must have sunk thousands of hours into it.
With the additional 20% off coupon GMG20-NT7TS-SY2RT you could get Rome TW Gold (Rome TW + Barbarian Invasion) for $2. Alexander is not that great, but for 60 cents it's still well worth it, so here's the Rome Total War Collection (Rome TW Gold + Alexander) for $2.6:
