Could argue the same for real life as well.
It's for having conversations with people.
Or (very often.) it's for asking for help or something.

You have Asperger's? ;p
Actually, why do you care? I hate people for the most instances, hate random socializing and stuff, but hey, why not to have a prosthetic social life for a couple minutes, just for a laugh, when there's an occasion; when you see a topic you feel like partaking in? Internet is kinda like a shopping catalog. With people. I'll leave you this statement to contemplate. Durr.

It's based from your opinion, it's just something that gets discussions going. Usually if someone comments like "played 30 hrs of (insert fun game here) he/she will get replies saying "Haaa how was the game?", then the poster will reply "Haha that game is really fun, I recommend it".
I don't know, some might just want to show off but usually I just skip these kinds of threads because as you said, no one gives a beep.
See what I mean?

I'm guessing it's kind of bad music thread since I didn't open it. Well I guess people are bored.
Anyways, many of users here are still teenagers, so you wouldn't expect them to participate in a thread about a complex topic (not implying teenagers are not wise)

Suldok, I feel the need to tell you that I looked for a Thumbs-Up out of habit.

To scheme against everyone and everything. One might hate/love someone or something the more they know about them. And thus, you shall listen to the Generalissimo.

Should I start a discussion on "Hamlet" being a play about procrastination?

Here is another interesting topic for discussion.
Hungry people, stray dogs. The solution seems obvious.

I like to read, for don't know what reason, opinions and information people give. I do this here, on youtube and in every place where where people can give informations...Maybe because i like to have in mind statistics about things i should not care...

Many of these threads have no apparent reason, besides having nice conversations and getting to know the community better, maybe even making some friends. Not every thread must be an important announcement or a giveaway or other "important" stuff, simple threads (like this one) keep the community going active :)

Nah, I'm not following you in particular (not that I'd admit it even if I was :P). You just seem to have been making a lot of new threads lately, and I usually drop one or two comments on a thread if I find it interesting or have something worth saying in my mind.

Some people are just curious as to what games people end up playing most in their libraries. They could use that information to discover games they never really considered before. A lot of the games I've enjoyed were actually recommended by other people, games I didn't really bother looking at before but then gave it a go and had a lot of fun with it. And the games that have disappointed me the most are the games that I have been anticipating for a long time and then the game falls short of my expectations.

Nobody really gives a shit about this question either, yet you still asked it. I don't see how that's any different.

I really asked myself what's the point of asking questions like "what are the games with the most hours played" or something similar. Is it just a way to get attention or is it something to gather comments? I mean no one really reads the stuff or just gives a fuck about it.
No I dont have asperger. Just in case someone would ask.
