It means you get twice exp for your account level. Wich mean you get iridescent shards twice faster as they are link to said account level.
Those shards can be used to either buy perks in the weekly shrine, or some cosmetics, and even characters that ain't under a license (like the ones that have been released with the last dlc)

That's double player XP. Double emblem XP is much less. You get like 10 XP per Iri emblem by default so it's 20 per emblem with double. Meaning 80 XP if you get 4 Iri emblems at the end of the match.
Double player XP (which is double shard rate) is much better, but that's not what we're getting right now

I think they're probably just testing how popular double emblem and double daily rituals are cuz it's the first time they've done them. I think most people aren't gonna care much. I only care about double player XP or double bloodpoints. I rarely do daily rituals cuz the game always throws killer rituals at me and I don't play killer much
