Hello guys
I tried to add funds to my account but I couldn't, I am getting this error: An unexpected error has occurred. Your purchase has not been completed. Please contact Steam Support.
After 7-8 fail attempts I tried to add funds from Mobile Steam App on my smartphone and it worked but when now when I try to purchase any game I get the same error again, and even if I try to add more funds I still get the same error.
Any ideas?

"Please contact Steam Support."

Though I suspect that they will request more information with regards to the transaction to find out WHY something went wrong.
Information with regards to your payment method or similar that are obviously not necessarily good to post here.

Its possible that it is a temporary glitch due to maintenance on either end of the line or alternately there may be some form of flagged/blacklisted issue for whatever reason. Though without more information that all remains mere speculation.
Your best bet is to contact Steam Support and/or the service you're using to try and pay to figure out where the issue comes from.

I have contacted steam support but I yet have to wait for the magical automated message (probably with a Half Life 3 Logo)
I tried to add funds to my other account using the same CC, it worked, but then I couldn't purchase anything at all, after 10 attempts I finally made my purchase but now once again I can't add funds to any account again :)
I love this

Have you used the same CC to purchase something elsewhere recently?
(This would verify that the card itself isn't somehow blocked or whatnot.)

Or as the people below suggest.
Anything ranging from large numbers of transactions to using a VPN may have ended up getting you flagged for one reason or another which also may have caused this.

Would I be correct in assuming you were making mass purchases, perhaps for trading? Valve seems to place a limit on hourly purchases, and if you keep doing a large number of purchases, that happens for longer periods of time.

I also got it myself during repeated purchases of a price error available here several months ago.

Problem solved, I contacted steam support and I can't believe the quick response I got (when it comes to payments)
They asked me to try again, so I did, and it worked
