Quirky but still useful. I can only think of one use for it today, wich is good word learn in morse:
... --- ...
Could save ones life someday
I learned quite a bit of morse as a kid- at one point was a brief obsession.
That was more or less around the age when i was torn about what i wanted to be when i grew up- between being a detective, a spy or a mad scientist...(yes, i didnt want to be just a scientist, mad was part of it lol- sadly that was the closest one i achieved)
...wich didnt last long, neither my interest for morse
-... ..- -- .--.

Pretty dumb, but when I was about 8 and my sister 10, we ran a length of string between our bedrooms (and up a flight of stairs!) and would message each other at night using Morse Code. (A short tug for a dot, long slower tug a dash etc). My grandfather had been in the Royal Navy and so had taught us. We did this for years. Was before mobile phones or even the Internet, but we thought it was cool.
Sorry - I know you don't care, but was a nice reminder an innocent youth. :D
