If you mean encountering as a non-object, I would say challenge. Every field has their own challenges, so maybe focusing on the team struggle?
But if you mean encountering as an object, I would say.... Drones? Lab things? Na2S2O3 + HCl? Music Instruments? Cameras? Potatoes?
since i'm still in high school i haven't narrowed my studies, so i have some interests that are totally different from the others, and the potato was a joke sry

Well I do have some video projects, one about elephant toothpaste, one about vapor condensation on a bottle (cloud in a bottle), and some other stuffs
I'm pretty good at editing videos except real heavy ones, can't handle the usage. And aftereffects. Damn aftereffects.

I'm not sure what you're looking for, but I can probably help.
Just give me more details as to what you need.
As an aside, seeing your comment above, if you need help with ideas, you should go the commercial art route, where people tell you what you want, instead of having to come up with your own ideas

I am from the biochemistry department. So when some molecules come into close proximity they are able to change form, depending on the interaction partner. The closest combination of art and lifescience is the "Inner Life Of A Cell" video from XVIVO. You could use a video were to proteins/molecule couple and then do the same for two people. End message:"Even on the smallest level.... we just want to be near the one other that complete us"

I am studying IT at the moment but I do enjoy hiking. A point what I am thinking of is where technology and nature meet. There is an interesting thing where it comes to "roughing it" and "luxury hiking" and how the differences can change the encountering from the average person encountering the wilderness. Just to give a little information about the whole thing about hiking and technology, "roughing it" is to do mainly with the bare essentials such as a bag, bottles, knife and so on, while "luxury hiking" allows someone to take things such as solar panels for charging of devices, GPS's, music players and speakers, and so on.
Hope this helps, best thing I could come up with at in moments notice ^^
