Gift Winner Feedback...?

So.. after one wins a giveaway, is it just click "received" and that's it? I've seen a few giveaways where the generous person wrote in the description to please leave feedback, by that do they just mean clicking the received button, or... something else? Sorry if this is a well known thing around here, but I just won my first time the other day, and it's been bugging me in the back of my mind.

Yeah, just click "received" after you've received it. Leaving feedback can vary from leaving a comment on the giveaway to going so far as to add the person on Steam to thank them directly. It's up to you.

Yes, after you have verified the game and are satisfied, just mark it as received. You are really not required to do anything further than that. The feedback rep on the profiles is meant for Trading from that section of this site.

Actually, since it hascome up. now that the keys are sent by SG it is less personal. i am missing the old personal connection just a little.

If they just send the key thru SG, then I go back to the giveaway and create a new response telling them thanks. It should show up in their message feed.

I have said it before, SG needs a Tinder like app to help give praise in a more personal form for given gifts, in a personal, one on one encounter.

I think there ought to be a "message" thread for each giveaway, private to the winner and the gifter. This would let you thank them personally, and would also give you a place to resolve any problems that come up.
