I think the full version can only be bought at Steam. Ask him where he got it, see if they offer the chance to purchase keys for the full release.
Edit - Seems Gamersgate has it as well, but still, doubt they would give a key that doesn't activate when you only have the beta.

If you are in the beta I would suggest checking the beta forum. You will find your answer there. Discussions outside about the beta violate the NDA you agreed to when joining it.

I don't think so either, but better safe than sorry. Just trying to keep you and anyone who might know the answer inline with the agreements made. :-)

Yes they will.
"You may cease use of a Subscription at any time or, if you choose, you may request that we terminate your access to a Subscription. However, Subscriptions are not transferable, and even if your access to a Subscription for a particular game or application is terminated, the original activation key will not be able to be registered to any other account, even if the Subscription was obtained in a retail store. Access to Subscriptions purchased as a part of a pack or bundle cannot be terminated individually, termination of access to one game within the bundle will result in termination of access to all games purchased in the pack. I actually bought the game on Steam first and got my beta key just now. When I put the key into Steam, it says that I already owned the product...
So no BETA for me...:(
Edit: It says I own it already but doesn't allow me to install the beta(photo)

I can't remember where I read this from, but once Steam Support removes a library entry, if you re-add the same game (with a different key or something?) then it uses the old key instead of the new one.
Perhaps someone can confirm this, because I can't really be sure if I'm remembering that correctly.

This all reminds me of the guy who made several "fake" giveaways, all the while proclaiming that they were "real." All kinds of things can be stated with complete assurance when the person has no idea what he or she is talking about.

Obviously I have only the beta, wich some of you said it's not the same as the full game, so I entered this giveaway where the creator clearly says it's not a beta but a pre-order.
Anyone knows if having the beta prevents the full game to be activated? Could be some kind of error, or the guy has just gifted me a beta key. Before reporting or mark as not received I would like to be sure...
EDIT: the game disappeared from my library, as I expected. End of story, I'll start joining Rekoil giveaways again now :3
