So, about two weeks ago I bought the Visual Noble Humble Bundle. I haven't really played a visual novel before (I do mostly know how they work, I think) and have been reading about the games themselves, but I'm not sure which should I play.

So far the only one that has convinced me is:

  • Root Double

From the rest of the list which do you suggest me to play (the remaining ones will probably be given away here).

Remaining:

  • Fault - Milestone One & Two
  • Karakara
  • Nekopara vol 0, vol 1, vol 2
  • Ame no Marginal
  • Idol Magical Girl Chiru Chiru Michiru Part 1, Part 2
  • Narcissu 10th Anniversary Anthology Project
  • Sound of Drop
  • Highway Blossoms
  • Japanese School Life
  • World End Economica
  • Memory's Dogma Code 01
  • Sunrider Liberation Day

I'm keeping an open mind on themes about the visual novels, but I'd rather avoid any clunkers hidden between this list, so I'm asking you for your help.

Also, I think this is my first thread created here, so sorry if it doesn't belong in this category.

Maybe you should check out the thread on that bundle.
There's probably a lot of opinions that can help you already there.

I haven't read these VN-s yet, but anyway, you probably shouldn't start with Chiru Chiru Michiru. Why? Because it's a spin-off to another VN (well, VN-trilogy) which isn't in this bundle, and you likely won't understand a lot of jokes. I hope this makes your choice a bit easier.

The fault series is really good. Only read the first two Narcissu(s?), but they're nice, low-key stories.

What about sunrider?
It features a battle gameplay additional to the story.
Should be included in your bought bundle.

You're right. I missed it from the list. I'll include it. Have you played it?

If you play the free MoA before, you will like it.
I currently lost my mood to play it due the story - I don't mean this negative, but I have to stomach the story's happening.
The battles are still good and the story follow what happened in MoA with a twist.

Only thing that some have problems in the battles is the dfficulty, but this can be changed if it's to cruel/stressful. :)

Will continue to play it in a few days or weeks.

fault - milestone probably has one of the best stories if you want some generic fantasy with feelings.
I haven't tried Narcissu but it's supposed to be heavy hitting as well. Those two are also the highest rated.
NEKOPARA is if you want a casual, cutesy, silly game with catgirls and possible sexual content. There's no deep story whatsoever.
World End Economica is a decent sci-fi (near future) trilogy with drama, character development and romance, but with a foundation in finance, so you might find it dull if you're not particularly interested in those economic subjects.
Haven't tried the others yet, but the bundle was an insta-buy for me.

I personally reccomend Nekopara,
but since you convinced with Root Double, I think you should try fault - milestone instead..
