It happened with SnowRunner. I hate myself after i bought all DLCs and premium of this game on EPIC because, a year later it launches on STEAM. -_- WTF. I dunno whether the Devs are greedy or this is the un-avoided move for devs/publisher.

Greedy because they want to earn money and made you a offer that you accepted ? I am not sure how you can describe that as greedy.
They sell a product and you have the free decission, as you buy that product or say "i don't buy in that shop" or "i don't pay the price X" etc..

greedy i mean, they never spread the news after release, that they will release soon on Steam within a year.
U can say that, " I decided to not buying it, right now." But, the game is legit. Have a very good scenery. the color that i want in a game graphics. At least tell us that they are positively release on Steam soon.
Btw, its all my fault. i hope it comfort u. I like SnowRunner. Im not man of HYPE. im not a hype gamer. But, im really sad if im losing the hype of playing this beautifully graphics game. I feel really really sad, right now. why? My friends who pirate this game, now have their chance to buy it on Steam. Me? I have to buy it again on Steam just because im playing fair, just because i respect a publisher and Development team.
Happy for them, who pirate the game. Sad for me who admire and pay for the game...

Update: Alan Wake Remastered might be coming as well https://twitter.com/Wario64/status/1405803861441347586?s=19

this is what happens when people pre order games, buy day 1 dlc, say things like shut up and take my money, smile and ask for more when fed shit sandwiches like cyberpunk.
the word "gamer" is just a synonym for blind consumer.
i must say ff7 was better then i expected. there was only 1 change that i absolutely hated and only a few changes that were bad. i was expecting the worse for ff7 after the lazy ass ff15 that was comprised of %90 sidequests.

Same...unless it never comes to Steam/GOG, in which case I'd break down eventually. That's incredibly unlikely, so I'm just going to be patient. It's already coming to PC sooner than I thought it would. <3
(Though I doubt they'll ever put FF on GOG, so I'm just waiting for the Steam release.)

Yeah I remember seeing it say it won't be on anything but playstation but of course epic it always is, but that just gives a little hope that they eventually bring it to steam. Plus isn't the remake still only half the game so I'm okay not having it anyway until completed

Jokes on them, I'm already playing FF7 on Steam 8)
With that joke in mind, I have the backlog from the past ~3 (maybe 4) decades that I can pass the time until developers figure out where they'll release their games, and the drama passes away. I have time :D

Not surprised since SE has done this type of thing in the past with "exclusives". It will probably be a EGS "exclusive" for a year or two before moving to Steam as a "surprise".

Source: Archive link cause it's Resetera
While I find it surprising (I thought it would be console exclusive for 5 years or so) I think we will start seeing more of these "double-dip" PC releases. You have people at first that will buy it on EGS cause it is on PC and then later you have another wave of large purchases once it inevitably comes to Steam. The publishes gets EGS exclusivity money as a bonus at the start so it's a win-win (for publishers, of course)
