Awesome! What rare gems I see here ♥
no they don't - but they do not offer support after 60 days. So in rare case that key turns out to be a duplicate - for example because of their system error assigning same keys to two different buyers - they will not help you after 60 days.
I've been giving away IG games 6 months and more after a purchase and never had a problem ;)

"No they don't but they do not offer support after 60 days, if the key turns out to be a duplicate they will not help."
That's what I meant, essentially the same thing to me or anyone that doesn't use their keys right away. Steam keys do not expire but IG seems to be known for handing out dupes and avoiding responsability.

just use / giveaway / trade your keys under 60 days. 2 months is quite a long time to do it.
Steam keys do not expire, but I guess when they sign contracts with publishers/developers they get a set amount of keys. They are then obliged by contract to send back unused keys so if after 60 days they no longer hold these keys they have no way to offer support for them.

"Unused keys."
This is plain wrong. Once a product has been assigned and handed out to a customer it is no longer an "unused key". You don't see this happen with Humble Bundle or Bundle Stars for example, or sellers like GMG, and if it happens you can contact them and get what you paid for, your bundle pages are good until the provider goes out of business.
"Use them under 60 days."
I should be free to use the keys I paid for whenever I want to, like with any other bundle or seller.

Hi there IndieGala dev :)
Not mad, just explaining what was wrong with what you said. It would be cool if they outright told you their stuff goes bad after 2 months tops but it doesn't until you already made a purchase and even then it only says "PLEASE YOU BETTER ACTIVATE SOON". If you check it out they dropped the "we don't offer support :^)" line from their e-mails and FAQ, but rather they say "it might become difficult to solve your problem :("
IMO the "we are not in the wrong, it is he who buys from us, if you don't like it don't buy" thing needs to be toned down. Not to be repetitive but as I said, why every other well-known bundle and store handle legit keys and lasting support while they don't.

I know all that as stated but the risk exists with them of getting a dupe key and after 2 months it's almost certain you are SOL if that happens, that's what I meant. It is not just one person it has happened to, and you are taking a gamble every time. That risk doesn't exists with some other sellers and there is no valid reason they are giving dupe keys in the first place. At least Humble Bundle doesn't say "after 2 months I take no responsability if I sold your key to someone else, deal with it". It just doesn't sit well with me.

Easy to say when you find out before buying it.
So if you found out after buying it, you wouldn't buy from IG anymore?
I'll just make clear that i don't defend IG specifically, but i want to understand your point.
Edit: i didn't know the 2 months thing before buying my first bundle on IG.

what i don't understand, it is your specific sentence previously quoted
This?
Easy to say when you find out before buying it.
No I did not know it was like that before buying from them.
I said if you care to read because you asked this:
you wouldn't buy from IG anymore?
And to that the answer is there explicitly in the post you were quoting. If it is something else do let me know.

Ok. I said that now I'd still buy from them under certain conditions, and if those are not met then I cannot recommend them, that is, I wouldn't recommend buying anything if the buyer doesn't expect having those keys activated in a period no greater than a month (not 2 because in practice support might take over a week to respond the first email).
I actually haven't bought anything from them since that first bundle because they haven't put on sale anything that meets the conditions. I did change "my behavior" as you put it: I went in not knowing it would be like that and bought bundles from them, and those bundles I didn't redeem, thinking it would be like with Humble Bundle where I still have valid keys from years ago and support, then later on I found out there might be "issues" but by then the 2 months "grace period" had passed anyway. Now that I know how it is I have this stance I stated already in this thread. What of this is hard to grasp? I think it might be better to spread the word so people knows that the 2 month thing exists and they need to be careful lest they lose the money and time the put in.

Not it doesn't, this is what it says last time I checked:
PLEASE ACTIVATE YOUR KEYS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Your keys and your account will NEVER expire. You can activate your keys even after a year has passed.
Most of the unsold keys are sent back to the vendor 60 days after the bundle ends, so replacing keys after this period may be difficult.
"You can activate your keys even after a year has passed." This is false if the key is a duplicate and they cannot/won't replace it. If you look closely it doesn't say support ends at 60 days, it says "replacing keys after this period may be difficult." That statement by itself is completely fine, and shouldn't be a problem, but when they hand out duplicate keys, or later on hand out a key already assigned to your account to some other customer, it becomes a problem, but of course they don't state anywhere that that happens or that you might be SOL. You only hear about these issues from affected customers. I will agree that "PLEASE ACTIVATE YOUR KEYS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE" should make some alarms go off but it doesn't say anything in an strict sense, it amounts to as much as an statement saying "Please do have fun :)".

Eh, no big loss if you don't end up using the keys anyway.
Similar to every single GA you took from here just to +1 your account and never use.

First though, hey look there's eden* and BlueRose, and i only have 1 of the games out of all of them
Now after reading the reviews of one of the promising games (The Clans) that it has a rubbish storyline, I'm guessing I'm a bad judge

I just bought it for full price too like 2 days ago ( ͠° ͟ʖ ͡°)

Yeah, I knew better because of that VN groupees bundle too. I bought this bundle but I want to giveaway the game too. I'll either buy a second bundle and refund nippon on steam or just giveaway my bundle copy. Might as well just buy a second bundle I think.

Well it's a $9.95 refund and the bundle is $1.99. So money-wise it's a no-brainer.

I think my Grumpy Old Fart age is showing... I really don't get the appeal of these Japanese/anime-style games, but seeing a flood of them on Greenlight/EA and comprising a large portion of a lot of bundles today indeed points to a very wide appeal.
Can someone Explain It Like I'm 5 ? What am I missing out on by insta-skipping them?

There are a few kinds of Visual Novels
Some are pretty much just a story. Imagine a sweet anime, but instead of watching it or reading a manga, the story is show trough pretty images and some text (some also are dubbed, some are not).
Some, and I believe that's the most common case, have a story that can have more than one ending and usually involve picking choices at some points of the story.
A nice example is Analogue: A Hate Story - it's pretty much a story you have to uncover, there's lot of reading, and you have to interact here and there to see different parts of the story. It's good because it's a good and well written story told in an interesting way
Some involve "training" skills - you can choose which skills to train, and the story moves forward, and at some points your skill levels change the outcome of an event.
Long Live the Queen is a great example of this

I kind of feel like giving away 20 copies of Go Go Nippon.

Bought it for my monthly dose of angst and romance.

as steam refund policy states:
We do not consider it abuse to request a refund on a title that was purchased just before a sale and then immediately rebuying that title for the sale price.
Comment has been collapsed.
I see no problem there. Worst case your refund will not get approved. Its not that you have over 2 hours of playtime on it?
Comment has been collapsed.
You can refund any eligible game for any reason, it's just that if you refund every game you will be marked for "abuse" soon enough and your "refund rights" might get revoked. But if you refund a game and purchase it again that refund won't be counted towards your "abuse counter". I'd expect this works only if you buy from the Steam Store.

Damn, I could really go for this bundle mainly for eden*. I've been interested in the game even though I haven't played a VN in my life...

For fuck sake, I checked Tremor and there wasn't the game there yet. Can't believe I missed it... ;_;
Comment has been collapsed.
Yep, just noticed that. It's pretty overpriced for a single bundled game, though...
Comment has been collapsed.
That's a lame strategy... They are selling the game for more coins than it's worth just because it sells better...
Also: Hotcakes. ;D
