this surely has been answered before but I cant find the thread

I thought I got scammed with many others early december with the humble monthly games. every other trader/buyer @steamtrades had revoked it in the first week and I was really looking for a message to pop up every day - but some still have their games, like me. is it safe to say I am secure now? or do I have to keep on fearing? back in my mind I think it was 90 days that a game can be revoked?! or is that just via paypal and stolen card info takes longer?!

I had a revoke 8 months after buying a game, so no, you aren't safe

Depends on the way the scammer bought the game. It may take 1 day or 1 year or maybe even an eternity?! For example, if somebody steals a paypal account and uses it to buy humble games and then trade them, when the owner of the account finds out, they'll send an e-mail to paypal and try to revoke all the money being spent by the scammer. So, that may happen in just 1 day or it may happen after a year. But the games usually get revoked eventually, so hurry up and play them.

yep, I always think the same but the second thought always overrules the first one: what if I like the game and it get revoked in the middle while playing, then I would be frustrated as hell. with my bad luck... bin normalerweise kein glücklicher glücksklee ;(
