What?

GPU: Graphics Processing Unit, actually refers to the physical video processor on a video card, but is used commonly to refer to a video card/graphics card.
CPU: Central Processing Unit, AKA processor.
RAM: Random Access Memory, the volitile memory the cpu uses to quickly access data on the fly.
VRam: Video Random Access Memory, RAM located on the GPU or video card.
PSU: Power Supply Unit. Converts the AC from your wall outlet to DC to power your computer and it's innards.
MOBO: Mother Board. Large board that you connect all your parts to.
HDD: Hard Disk Drive. "Permanent" storage devices using magnetic media/metal discs that spin rapidly.
SSD: Solid State Drive. Uses magic and unicorn poop to "permanently" store and transfer data at incredible speeds.
ODD: Optical Disc Drive, Disc Drive, or Optical Drive. All refer to the physical drive used to read and or write to disc media like CDS, DVDS, Blurays and so on.
NIC: Network interface card. A periphiral device used to connect to a network via wired or wireless means.

You also have things like SATA, PATA, Floppy, PCI, PCI-e, AGP, USB, Firewire, HDMI, DVI, S-video, RCA, and a thousand other acronyms that may be a good thing to know when buying/building a computer.
