That's why you should download overnight if you have slow internet.

Currently downloading a certain game that is 18.4GB. My top download speed is around 340-350kb/s. Been 2 days so far, since I'm unable to download if anyone else in the house is using the internet. Have to do it when they are asleep because my ISP tends to congest and not let anyone actually browse the internet whenever anyone downloads anything. :|

6 days for Team Fortress 2.. but it was when i was using a 1MB internet connection.. and my brothers was closing steam every time they see it opened -.-
At least now i have a 6MB connection.. that will never happen again! :P

Download from Steam at 10-15Mb/s so I'm alright ;)

That was Tera, 25 GB, it took me from 10:00 am to 11:30 pm and just the next day a new patch was released, that took me another 2 hours...

Making the mistake of trying to play GW2 on release day. Started at 8 am, got to play around 2 pm the following day...

My longest hour downloading a game was pretty standard - it was one hour, or around 60 minutes.

Back before DSL, I once had to wait four days for a download of some game I don't even remember. My parents docked my allowance for a month.

thats why I like boxed games, but I remember downloading AoE2 demo (20MB) for 4 hours via dial-up

Downloading Bioshock Infinite/X-Com the other day was long.

I would say only about 3 hours to download COD: MW3. I had people using the internet also. But today I got a new router and I downloaded Garry's Mod in about eight minutes!!!

Err... I never go over an hour. Guild Wars 2 took about 5 hours before I upgraded my internet though.

My speed from ISP is 384 kb/s, and downloading from steam would get me 60 kB/s at most - my longest wait time was about 3 days, Team Fortress 2. ._.

Oh, I remembered something: I was once waiting for about 31 days to play some games, Dead Space 2, LA Noire, PoP Trilogy, and Deus Ex: Human Revolution. ._.

I can never download something in less than an hour. Back home my family were very hardcore computer nerds and dad was in control of everything. He would always have his computer on and he would priorities his computer above everyone else, also we had a shitty internet speed and connection.
Now I am over in China if i want to download something i do it a work and because it is a universal and shared system it always takes forever. But i have gotten used to it.
The best one i had was one day i took my computer into a place i volunteered because they needed a laptop to run the systems and i managed to download games stupid fast like around 1MB/second speed. I dont think anyone really used the internet there so they would have seen the massive spike but no one said anything.

30 Mb/s internet speed, downloading at 3-5MB/s, takes less than an hour to download 10GB...I buy a game, then a few hours later at most(unless it was a preorder) I was playing it

But I remember back, not even a year ago, when my internet speed was 786Kb/s, downloading at 60-90KB/s on average. Worst time of my life. Took about 2 days to download MapleStory.

I'm confused. An hour is sixty minutes, so how could 60 minutes last longer than 60 minutes?

Took a full day to download and install that free to play Dungeons & Dragons MMO....just to have the registrations page completely refuse to work.

5 years ago Iuse to have 256kb internet, so my download speed was of 25KB/ps and I download World of Warcraft :WoTLK took me about 1 week, pausing and resuming the download a few times.
