Are you replying based purely on assumption? For me Enemy Within isn't just a DLC, it's a perfect example for a well-made expansion pack. New missions ( base defense, site recon ) tie in with the main campaign, 2 new type of soldier ( Genetic enhanced and Cyber enhanced ) are add up along with new enemy types, increase the variety of combat really well. Not to mention a bunch of balancing are included in Enemy Within ( Classic Firaxis, always put balancing into expansion packs only ). If you find the game easy just crank up difficulty. I myself am not very interested in Strategy games, XCOM EU is the first strategy game I've played in years. With base game I was only able to complete 1 playthough. With EW installed I completed 3 more runs and keep coming back for more.
@OP this DLC pack worth the price. Enemy Within can hardly go lower than $10 ( the only time it goes 75% off/7.5$ was because it got nominated for BAFTA reward ), so $11.82 for Enemy Within + 2 other DLC is a really good deal.

Actually it's Enemy Within + 5 other DLC! There are DLC for 2 different games in the bundle! Your opinion is insightful and much appreciated!

That's a good deal. I paid way more than this for Enemy Within and it's totally worth it just for that. I do own all this dlc, but I haven't played The Bureau much so I can't comment on that. The Elite Soldier Pack is worthless. However if you like Enemy Unknown then Slingshot and Enemy Within are easily worth the $12 price. If I didn't already own all of this dlc I would jump on it in a heartbeat. Slingshot adds 3 varied new missions which allow you to capture a battleship fully intact fairly early in the game as long as you succeed at all 3 missions. If you do then you get a huge boost to your resources including 2 fusion cores. Blaster Launcher ftw! As for Enemy Within, it is almost like a remake of the base game. It's one entirely new class with an incredible amount of variety within that class, a broad refinement to all the original classes (gene modification), new technologies and skills, many new research and foundry projects, new aliens, a rebalance of existing enemies, MANY new maps and crash sites, new council missions, soldier medals which grant buffs, an interesting and entirely new enemy faction (gene-modded humans) with their own mission types, and more stuff I'm probably forgetting. It really is almost an entirely new game. If you liked Enemy Unknown then you'll love Slingshot and Enemy Within.

Well.....I'm playing it right now, and I'm guessing I'll play it again since there's certainly enough replay value! I'm also curious about The Bureau: XCOM Declassified DLC, since they are part of the bundle!
The real question is.....have these DLCs been dirt-cheap before compared to the above price? And how long will the wait likely be until a better deal comes up?

XCOM Declassified and its DLCs go on sale quite often ( since the game isn't good and doesn't sell well after all ). As for XCOM EU DLCs the previous time there was a good deal was during summer sale, in which Steam store offered 66% off for DLCs, while GMG offered XCOM the Complete pack ( XCOM EU + all DLCs + classic XCOM games + XCOM Declassified base game ) for $20. Next time this type of deal appear again should be during Black Friday ( November ).

Yeah....that summer sale deal was conveniently before the Humble 2K Bundle! Sly dogs! XD

Does anyone know if it comes in 1 key or if i can split it up and give away some of the dlc's?

I have a feeling it's multiple keys........because I got the Mafia 2 DLC bundle a while back and got 6 different keys from GMG!

Yes you can play without the expansion. The game's launch menu gives options to either start XCOM EU or its expansion EW. It's best to give vanilla version a go first to understand the mechanic. Also save files are not cross-version compatible.

That's the impression I've always gotten. Besides, you'll get more longevity out of it if you play it vanilla first and you'll appreciate the things they've added/changed with EW. EU is a fantastic game, but the recycling of the maps and missions does get a bit stale.

well i hope I am not breaking any rule by posting it but its available for 8$ in my country and its ROW version but can't be bought online -
And could any body please teach me how to post short urls xD i mean like a word when u click it, it takes u to the site.

Disagree. GMG prices are always good. Specially when you add their 20% off extra. Bought tons from them over the last 2 years.

I thought it was a good enough deal that I'd posted about it on these forums and bought it for myself. I had credit to burn on GMG, plus its a good price for the XCom:EU stuff. I basically just figured that the DLC for The Bureau ends up being a nice little freebie on top.

i don't have the DLC for the bureau. I can "highly" recomend all of the x-com EU DLCs. At "normal" price only enemy within is worth it since is the only one that has a lot of content. What i liked the most of the other DLC is the added customization for soldiers. If you have them you can combine the new colors, armours and helmets to make each soldier in your army very diferent from each other.

Nobody mentioned the long war Mod. you should get the EW expansion just for that mod...
look it up :)

I think the lowest EW has been by itself is 10 bucks during the summer sale, slingshot dlc adds a few missions but nothing big (worth it as part of the bundle, not worth buying on its own imho, the other EU dlc, elite soldiers or whatever, really doesn't add anything useful (just cosmetic stuff) haven't played the bureau yet.

Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts on the DLC guys!

Hey guys, just wanted your opinions on whether the XCOM DLC content is worth it!
Right now the DLC bundle is at 71% off at GMG, which makes it cost $14.77! After applying the voucher - P36EYA-K5JYKT-ABO7X9, it becomes $11.82!
XCOM Enemy Within(which is part of the bundle) by itself discounted is about $15...AT THE SAME SALE!
So the question is....DLC Bundle: Yay or Nay?
PS: Before you ask, I play both Enemy Unknown and The Bureau :)
