Steam is having a record making sale on Assassin's Creed 3. Until this Friday(Oct 11,2013) AC3 Standard and Deluxe Editions are 60% off($11.99 and $23.99 respectively) on Steam. According to IsThereAnyDeal.com, this is the lowest price AC3 has ever gotten. The DLC is also 66% off as well.

Steam Page

The only downside is that it uses Ubisoft's DRM instead of Steam's.

Dont make us wait next time. We were all wondering what that big white banner on the top right of the store page actually was. There is also this "Specials" tab which no one knows anything about. It's a big mystery.

I thought that was for special people only? I e-mailed Valve to ask if I could get special access to the special tab. Still awaiting their response.

Doesn't take a stalker to notice the big ass sale banner on the main store page

Not really that far off the low. It was only $1 more on Amazon back in June.

Well, a record is a record even if it's just one cent or one dollar lower(^^)

Its nice and all, but usually when they do a franchise sale on midweek, you see the other games in the series on sale too.

Is this game any good? I've only ever played the first AC on Xbox and therefore I'm a little unsure.

It's my favourite Assassin's Creed game. However, most people were disappointed with it.

In my opinion this game was a huge disappointment. Yeah, nice graphics, hunting, awesome combat mechanics, wonderful Homestead missions, suprisingly good sea battles and many tiny improvements makes it a really neat quasi-sanbox game. On the other hand there's the least AC-like gameplay in the whole series. But the most unforgivable problem is poor main plot. Connor is so annoying and naive that it's hard to like him (It's true that Ezio was the same at the begining but during 3 games he evolved and became a real great leader of Brotherhood). And Desmond's story... as I said once, it's so bad that it looks like written in five minuites during a coffee break.

Got it from a trader a little cheaper than steam store. Will give it a try. The naval warfare interests me. Thanks angrenbor.

Assassin's Creed 2 and Brotherhood are universally acclaimed by users and critics. Unlike Assassin's Creed 3 and Revelations. My advice is to play them first at least.

While some of us are quick to criticize, I see the effort of trying to point out a sale as a positive thing. Don't let the turkeys get you down.
