I thought it was great. Lack of content doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad product, just like lots of content doesn't automatically mean it's a good product. It's got an interesting story, and interaction, but the "game" parts of it are very simple puzzles. Go into it for the story - and take your time with it - and you'll get your 5 bucks worth.
(Disclaimer: I bought it full-price, and am pleased with it. :) )

It would be such a dick move to have Paper Please and Gone Home included in tomorrow's bundle. I do not mind if they do that like 2-4 weeks from now but immediately after a sale would be too much to handle :P

yeah, I won it on SG during the 90% sale and laughed my ass off when it's included in a HB the day later.

Dunno, before buying it you should do a bit of research first (as usual, I may add). Just avoid Let's Plays and similar for this game, even the tiniest amount.

It is amazing, it is short (but feels like the exact right length), and it is/was quite expensive. It is also so unique it hardly even classifies as a game. I do not think you could be disappointed at that price, but that said if you are willing to wait you can probably get it for less in a future bundle.

Wow! I dont know why the reviews are so bad. I really enjoyed it when I played it!

It depends what you enjoy. I loved it, but it's a very short, narrative-focused game with no mechanics. There's no combat or platforming. The few puzzles are very simple. It's really about spending 2-3 hours in a richly characterized empty environment, reading notes and clues to figure out what happened to your family. That's all you get.
I found it moving. It's not for everyone.

The game was so weird. I tried playing it and all I got out of it was that I'm a gay woman who lost her family or some shit It was a few months ago so I don't remember the whole thing.

Humble Store - I think. My storefront is in GBP, and it's saying £2.99 so that would be about $4.99 US.

The biggest problem of Gone Home was its story. It was the most pretentious, shallow and banal piece of crap I have ever seen in my entire lifetime. Seriously, 12yo girls publish better stories on their blogs.

I went to your profile to write a snappy comeback based on a game you've played, but you've got a nice collection. One thing you should play is Hotline Miami though, it's got extremely good gunplay and an atmospheric story.

Currently it costs $19.99 on Steam. On Steam, you're not rating the game, you're either recommending it or your not recommending it. At $20 I couldn't recommend it. I loved the game, liked the message, but it's overpriced for how long it is.
I enjoyed the storytelling. It's just cost vs. length don't add up.

That's because it's a pretentious walking simulator without much plot aside from trying to be modern with societal issues at which it fails to deliver. Also, the game can be speedrun in just a couple of seconds if you check it out online.

I very much enjoyed Gone Home, and I bought it for the full price. I don't feel ripped off either. It's more like an interactive story then a game, I suppose. You don't shoot anything, nothing jumps out and scares you, but I think the story is really good. Plus I suppose it appeals to the side of me that likes snooping through other people's things haha. So I guess if the idea of looking through somebody's else's house and finding out their dirty secrets, sounds good to you, then you would like it. I think to get the full experience you really need to take the time to look around, pick everything up, explore. There's a lot of little things that reminded me of my own childhood. I guess it's somewhat of a 'puzzly' game in that you need to find certain things to advance, but I never got lost. It felt more like the puzzle elements were a gentle handhold to lead you down the right path, so you saw things in the correct order. Sort of making you feel like you're in control of where you go next, but you're subtlety led in the right direction.
I recommend it, especially for 5 dollars. Even if in the end you don't like it, and feel it was more of something you watched then played, you still would have payed more to go see an hour and a half movie at the theatre.

Is so hated by steam users....holy shiet, only 4% of the reviews are positive? Most negative reviews are based on the idea that the amount of content is no way sufficient considering its price. That's brutal.
Now the game is $4.99 (but who knows when it will be bundled?!?) should I buy it
