A: You have to wait a week before you can do that, during which time the guy could be creating more fake giveaways as I Clearly stated.
And @Sjeiks, as far as I've been able to find, no, you can not uncheck the box after you've selected it, other than waiting the week as stated.

That feature has existed since day one, but you're right, key giveaways are locked to received once they're viewed.

So... In a giveaway I recently won both of the other 2 people that won said giveaway marked it as received because they didn't know how the system worked, thereby allowing their names to be shown publically on the list of winners on that giveaway, despite not actually having received the game yet. There should really be a way to uncheck that so that it would return it to the Anonymous winner setting.
A lot of people are, for lack of a better word, dumb when it comes to the "You have won a game, check when you receive it" popup, and think that somehow by checking it as received they'll get the game by doing that... In reality, it just makes their names publically visible so people could potentially fake their identities to try to get their free game. Yes, it isn't all that easy for someone to check Each giveaway to see who has checked it as received that didn't actually Receive the game, but you know there are people out there that will go to these lengths to try to get free games.
Also, given that the number of giveaways one can make is based on gifts received from all their giveaways, this can prevent someone who makes a fake giveaway, gets a bunch of winners, and then a few mark as received not knowing better, and allowing said person to create a bunch of new giveaways to annoy even more people... That sentence makes sense somehow, just not the way I ordered it. Rearrange it to make sense of it yourself.
