I know this is not really the correct forum, but I've seen some posts like this and I don't really visit many other forums, so I decided to post it here.
I used to have Nokia 5800 Express Music (with Symbian) for a few years and it came with 8GB Micro SD card when bought. Now I got Huawei Y300 with Android and tried to move this Micro SD card to the new phone, but the phone didn't recognize it (it's like there's nothing inserted). I tried inserting this card in my friend's Sony phone with Android and it didn't recognize it either (while the card that was previously in Sony was recognized by Huawei, so the slot works).
Because I don't know much about Micro SD cards I am wondering if there is a way to fix it (by removing everything that's on the card maybe) or are these things just incompatible?
This is the card if it helps.

EDIT: I got it to work. The card apparently had a password that needed to be removed for other devices to recognize it. Thank you all for your help. :)

Try to copy all things from card to pc. After this format card and put it in Huawei. If it works, copy all files to card and enjoy.

^^ this

You can use a PC with a card reader that supports SDHC cards (common on notebooks)

Note: this will erase everything that's on it, so backup anything you want to save first

Thank you for the help, but I tried to insert it into a laptop via SanDisk Adapter (because it would be too small otherwise) and the laptop didn't recognize it. I tried multiple laptops and some gave me the pop-up message saying there is an external drive, but when going to Computer it wasn't listed (it wasn't listed in the Disk Management either). I tried with SanDisk Micro SDHC card and that one worked, so either Nokia is the only thing that recognizes the card or the adapter only works with SanDisk cards?

I looked it up. Apparently Symbian had a common issue with corrupting the filesystem of the whole card if not cleanly unmounted. A simple format and the card should work fine even though you will lose everything that was on it

On an Android device go into settings and look for an option labeled storage. Where you find it exactly depends on which version of Android but it shouldn't be too hard to locate. There will be a section labeled SD and there is an option to format. If it lists more than one SD card pick the one that is labeled as external.

If you are wondering why there might be more than one SD card listed when there is only one slot it is like this. Some companies take part of the internal flash memory and give it a mount point labeled as SD so that you can use software that requires an SD card even if you don't have one in the device. The real SD card will be typically be mounted as extSD and labeled External SD.

For the vast majority of users that info is completely unimportant but it is good to know in a situation like this.

Format this card on pc at fat32, put it to the phone, and it will recognize sd. Then go to setting-> memory -> sd card and format it from phone. Now you can copy all your files to sd, and it will works ;)

Mine did not have any issue when I switched from 5230 to galaxy s3. My advice would be format and then try again.

Hmm strange. I'm using my old Nokia 5800XM microSD card right now with my Galaxy S4. Just formatted it when I first put it in. You sure the card works because I sometimes had trouble with it (both on my old phone and twice on my S4).
