L4D or L4D2 ???

L4D2 you have both, you can make the whole campaing of L4D1, with melee...

They shouldn't even sell L4D anymore (or at least not at the same $19.99 price point) as L4D2 renders it useless after all the porting of maps / characters.

Do people still play L4D2? every time I have been on there has always been like 3-5 servers :/

Em... l4d2 != l4d + more things. L4D is better than L4D2, better camera, better environment... What happens? L4D2 has more weapons, melee weapons, other maps... I think, you first should play L4D and after L4D2. Both are nice games (I have both) but are different.

L4D 2 is far more active, L4D 1 is generally just killed game because Valve pathetic support. L4D1 still has some superior stuff compared to L4D2 because Valve had to hurry to make some silly record: L4D1 has better animations, overall weapon feeling, you can see even your own body, Hunter is Far more interesting to play with (L4D2 just f*cked up Hunters´ gameplay in every possible way except model) etc.

But because I guess you don´t have experience with L4D1 just go and pickup L4D2. It contains L4D1 maps and characters + a lot of new stuff which was added to L4D2 to play. Coop(REAL EXP <3) is really enjoyable (especially with friends) and Versus is fun to play if you are lucky and get some decent players to play with/against.

L4D1 is hundred times better but no one plays it. Don't buy either of them.

I like lfd2 because of the melee weapons.

Never liked L4D2 graphics style. It has more content and technically the first title is "inside" the second, but not for me. Left 4 Dead was unique and so much better than the extension, other than lack of content which was promised, but never granted. Instead they put together another title with the promised subtance, but badly executed.

I'd go for Left 4 Dead, but there are only a few players left. If you dare to pay the price for only a single player campaign, go ahead, it's not a waste. The second one has nothing better to offer and it looks so shitty now that I have played some real zombie games.

If you really want to play a good zombie shooter, Killing Floor is the way to go. If you like melee combat, Dead Island is the better choice. I'd almost say these two games are in my top 3, if not 2.

L4D2 hands down. More weapons (melee), more special infected, more game modes and they finally understood that MAYBE is safer to escape during the day.

if u like achievement then l4d has the survival achievements but if u just want fun than l4d2 but i have both so i only play l4d when a friend ask me or i need to do achievement

L4D 2 is a funny zombie shooter for thoughtless players.
