Do you organize your library on Steam? If you do, how do you organize it?

My collection is becoming a decent size and I have all of my games in one big list. If I get any more games, I might need to start organizing it all. But I don't know where to start.

So, do you do it by genre, by purchase date, completed games?

I have:
action adventure
fps
indie
other
strategy
valve
I'll probably add another category "crap" and "to play" because with all those bundles I kinda lost track...

I've got "Favorites", in which I put games I play often. I've got "-" in which I put games I don't like anymore and probably will never play again or some bundle games I'm not interested in at all. I also got "Try it!" in which I put new games I'd like to play soon but don't have the correct mood or time yet. And the regular "Games" where everything else is.

  • Undecided
  • Unsorted (Haven't played these yet, by far the biggest category)

I organize by game name (eg "Mass Effect" with ME1 & ME2, "Bioshock" w/ BS1 & 2, etc) and by publisher (THQ, Bethesda, etc) for games that don't fit elsewhere.

You can organize games on Steam?

I just choose installed games. Looks organized to me :D

I'm always trying to organize my games better. I try to keep them in an order that I like, and not what Steam likes.
Mine

Steam really needs to give us some actual organizing features for our games, and to make it less of a pain to do it.

By the main genre or type of game it is. I also club together some similar types of games, which aren't really in the same genre.

Completed

Awesome games that I play everyday (mostly multiplayer)
Indies
Haven't played yet
Disappointments

Other games sit in the default category which consists of mostly bundle games (CS Deleted scenes for example) that I'll probably never touch.

Favorites for games I am currently paying or intend to play soon. The rest are sorted alphabetically. I occasionally switch the list to installed and remove games I haven't played in a while.
