Doesn't sound like he was taking it out on you too badly, just venting about a situation he had been anxious about. But I'll take notes in case I'm ever in the impatient giveaway creator's position: if it ever happens that one of my winners takes a bit longer than I hope and I miss a giveaway because of it then I'll keep quiet about it to avoid guilt-tripping anyone. Space cat is meant to bring happiness, not guilt.

you took so long to react that i missed an GA which i couldn't join
omg he missed a ga!
a reply from a true impatient and stupid leech :3
just hope he blacklisted you so you don't have to interact with him again. sometimes blacklists are a blessing on sg...
seems a lot of people don't even read the faq/guidelines, they want everything instantly.

Congrats! It seems like randomly hiding a key in the comments helps from keeping away the people that just read threads for keys. This way only people that are interested in the topic and read through the comments will see it (well mostly only those people). Never thought it would take 3 hours though.

I've seen some people doing flash ga's in order to reach certain limit so they can join a ga... I do not think it is bad per se as long as the creator don't stalk/pressure the winner into marking it as received... I think if the creator needs that cv as badly he/she should allow "enough" time for any person to mark it as received...

It's weird to see such behaviour here, I thought SG was about giving (therefore being nice to other people) at least as much as about receiving. Just ignore them, some people are rude, and there is nothing you can do about it. Thanks for the train!

Well, there are a lot of people that think this place is for receiving and never giving unfortunatly, but for a big part of the forum community, it seems like giving is pretty big. I also considered this community as one of the nicest I've been part of. That's why I was a bit surprised by this behaviour.

I haven't had the pleasure yet but I do hope I'll never experience such things..

Bump. I have to say all the gifters were very patient, sometimes I take some days to mark it as received as well.

I find it a little ridiculous that people make a GA, because they saw a GA they want to enter and need that extra level or GA. I mean really
you shoudn't giveaway games only to win some more, I understand a lot of people see it that way. I wouldn't feel guilty because he missed a GA, you have 7 days to mark received so GA creator should be prepare to way those 7 days. It's nice when people marked it fast, but life happens and weirdly enough there are some things that take precedence over marking a GA received... Thank you for the ride:)

Luckily, I've never had such an experience. Also, there are two things about the OP's behavior that I thought were interesting. First of all, I find it a bit ironic that the giveaway creator left a message like that to someone on their whitelist. And second, if they were really that impatient to have their GA end and get received so that they would be able to meet the requirements for entering the GA they were interested in, then they should have created a flash GA instead of one that lasts a week. :P Oh, and thanks for the train!

I haven't had any situation like that from what I remember but yeah - even worse things happen in this bad world.
Thanks for the train! :)

Sometimes if I need 0.0x CV to level up, I did flash GA and I hope winner can mark as received ASAP.
And sometimes the winner just get entry and offline, I know, I do the same thing often.
I only create another flash GA and complain in the description, just a complain, because winner have 7 days to mark as received.
Well, but I know some people even make ITH to request people mark as received in 24hr.
I think that is bad because he let newbie get the rule wrong.

Well I normally active wins the same day but this one time I was on board of a vessel it took me about a week I think (internet connection was really shitty) right after I activated the key and when I wanted to thank the ga creator I was already blacklisted -.-

A couple of days ago I was pretty sick, so I didn't check my pc. When I got back I saw I won two games. Obviously I activated both and left a thank you on both GA's. So a bit later I saw that I got a reaction to one of my thanks messages. I thought, cool someone bothered to congratulate me. But he wrote this:
Now, it's not that bad on it's own, but then I checked my email and saw a mail from a while after the GA ended, saying that I should mark it as received before a certain time (I was sick, so I missed it), not even stating a timezone or whatever.
I was kind of surprised by this behaviour to be honest. Anyone else had a similar experience?
I only wrote this of course since I wanted to make a little train, so here you go (LVL 2+):
Hop on!
EDIT:
The GA creator appologized for his reaction to me and also cleared up that he send the email after 32 hours (while my mail said it was earlier, so somewhere that fucked up). I'm glad it was resolved this way.
