The expansions were great, too bad. The question "why" implies there must be a logic behind this...

They weren't made by the same developer, so when Steam added the games to the store their expansions were left out. Also, for some reason both DS 1 and 2 don't have multiplayer enabled, only singleplayer. So yeah, you'd better hold on to your physical copy; I heard there are ways to isntall it on the steam version, but since I don't have it I can't know for sure.

Gamespy disabled DS1&2 multiplayer servers, so steam disabled the multiplayer and says it doesn't exist so that it's not advertising features the game no longer has. You can still access LAN games on your steam copy by adding 'zonematch=true' to your command line launch options.

So.. I got the DS-Complete pack from TremorGames but now I read, that it doesn't contain the expansions for the first two parts. They aren't even listed in the store.. does anyone know why?
Also, luckily I have the expansions of the first part on CD, can I install them onto the steam-version or would that force me to re-install the game?
