Yes, loads of tourists. But they are there for a reason, the place is awesome. :) And I'm really impressed by the english skills of pretty much everyone, young and old people. My mother was the only one that's been there before, but it was like 25 years ago, and she remembered having to use german quite a bit.

Thanks. She didn't know where we were going, or that we were coming with, or how she would get there. She found out we were coming with the day before since we live close to the airport so they stayed the night with us. But it wasn't until we were at the gate and she saw the boarding-sign that she knew where to, like 2 minutes before she stepped on the plane. :)
When she turned 50 we visited Stonehenge, it had been a dream of hers since she was young to celebrate her 50th there.

That's simply amazing. Imagine how that's been carved straight out of the mountain. It's almost like they tried a few different versions to see how they wanted to make it.
I wouldn't want to fly to Turkey at the moment though, with all the turbulence in the country.

It's a lot of lovely nature. My parents in law have built a house and moved there, so we're living in their house while we have a vacation. It's just wonderful for relaxation and getting away from the cities. So it's quite the opposite experience compared to Prague. There are a lot of cottages to rent where you can go out paddling in canoes in the sea if you don't have a house to stay in.
This is the view from the room where we have our computers in (we brought them with us since we were going to be here for almost a month, bar the Prague-weekend):

Back from a weekend in Prague with my wife and my parents, celebrating my mom's 60th birthday. Let me tell you, that city has some fantastic and gorgeous architecture. All the buildings are full of details, handmade carvings and paintings. There's a lot of public art and you can't throw a stone in any direction without hitting something worth looking at.
So since I'm back from my travels, here's a choo-choo.
Here's the most random thing I saw, yellow penguins on parade at the river side. What are your most random art discoveries?
