The card system is pretty nifty. Basically means your build is randomized which gives you a plethora to choose from.
Anyone want an invite?
Currently sitting at patch 0.7 of closed beta.
Set to go F2P but probably similar as Smite:).

There are random spawnpoints (circles) on the map
the point is you race there with your team ASAP
you stand on it and gain points, you stop gaining them if enemies get on it (yeah it's a massacre XD)
When enough points are gathered a cannon appears
This drives to your fortress, it has to penetrate three gates eventually getting to the last 'vault' door
Vault destroyed, game over.

Its pretty nice, youre all over the map all the time because you can't really tell where the next spawnpoint is

Also instead of buying items you get to choose between three cards every level and they are basically your randomized build making every character a different experience most of the times. I've had some crazy builds xD
