Because site has small amount of Support/Moderators and this simplify their work. Plus for givers this less waiting time (time=zero lol).
I write this because waited 6 days for reroll 2 DLC-giveaways (ok, it was longer because I bump support-ticket too).
Or can make this as option (Yes/No) in creating DLC-giveaway (but how many % of peoples motivated to buy basic game, when win DLC?).

Plus auto-recover limit of giveaways when you delete giveaway. Because I'm create one wrong and after this I need wait Support for "Increase Giveaway Limit". I delete GA in around some seconds and just having 2 participants.
You can make auto-penalty about one day (or depending on giveaway options) for deleting giveaway.

I read on forum, that great site has slow updates frequency and small amount of Support/Mods, but that's what I think do SG better.
Sorry if suggestions like this exist and if that as "duplicate". I try to find, but don't.
And sorry for my english if you find some mistakes, because that's not my main language.
Merry Christmas for all. Good luck in 2017 New Year.

Nice summary of possible issues, for example here.

Edit: The giveaways you made and waiting for a re-roll now are quite problematic anyways. May I suggest you ask support to delete the giveaways. Afterwards you can re-create them as invite only and invite only users that own the base game.

"May I suggest you ask support to delete the giveaways."
I create tickets for 2nd rerolls (because in first winners don't have basic game too) and in description write about maybe delete and recover my GA-slots. When I delete wrong GA, it happened immediately and now waiting ticket to recover GA's. If I delete the completed GA, where people don't have basic game, do I recover slots? Or that not momentally and need to wait support?

I think you will lose the GA slots and have to bother support again to recover them.

You should have 10-12 GA slots. As long as you don't plan something that needs all your GA slots, why care about losing 2? You will get more slots as soon as you next GAs finish.

Thanks for info, like I supposed. But anyway for now I just waiting support response for reroll tickets (and may be them read my description with opinion to better delete giveaway and recover slots).

auto-recover limit of giveaways when you delete giveaway

This should definitely not happen. You start with 3 giveaway slots and gain 1 additional slot for every 3 giveaways you create that are marked "received" by the winner. You lose a giveaway slot for deleting a giveaway or having your giveaway marked "not received".

There is a good reason you lose a giveaway slot when you delete a giveaway. If you cause yourself to lose all your giveaway slots and cannot create any more giveaways, you should not be allowed to create any more unless you contact support and give a good reason. This is to prevent abuse.

I think auto reroll is a good idea for when the winner already owns the game on their Steam account or they have won the same game in the past and marked it as received. I think this should be automatically checked at the end of every giveaway before the winner is revealed.

I write about penalty for deleted GA's and that penalty may be like 1 day for recover one slot. Or more... Anyway that simplifies support/mods work and for users no need to wait, just guaranteed penalty. Or person need 75% of success giveaways for auto-recover like this.

You need to make multiple mistakes before it gets to the point where you need to request more giveaway slots and if you have made that many mistakes, I think it is a good idea to have someone manually approve more slots.

With the number of giveaways you currently have sent and were marked as received, you should have 13 giveaway slots. If you deleted a giveaway, you should have 12. It's not a big deal to make a mistake and lose a slot, but someone who loses them all is either doing it on purpose or needs to learn the rules before they should be allowed to create more.

I perfectly understand you and just awaiting feedback for my tickets. After peoples what join to DLC GA's without basic game (and I'm write about this in GA descriptions for aware) for now I just prefer not make DLC GA's.
But I really think idea about auto-recover is ok, if add some time-penalty. And/or if person make too many delete's (etc. =5), than auto-block GA for him and after this he need very good reason to unblock from support.
Anyway, what I know that site not make updates for... years? (read on forum)

I forgot mention suggestion about "Sync Account". So, if you win game, when you click key/gift "Received" site make auto-sync or request you to sync (with button nearby). If do that, people don't get another copyes of one game/soft, if they forget to synchronize regularly.

Also discussed many times before.
Clicking sync manually is not that hard + most DLCs are not reported by Steam's API, so you will have to hide them manually anyways on Steamgifts. There an "auto sync" would not help very much.

It be just like reminder for every win. Peoples just forgeting about sync regularly.

I've made a similar suggestion albeit with a system where auto-reroll occurs once both the winner and gifter click some sort of confirmation. I'll see if I can dig up that post.

There are arguments for potential issues (as there are for ever system, theoretical or exisintg), but nothing that even gets close enough to outweighing the massive efficiency boost. But people tend to stick to the status quo when it comes to change. It's some sort of mental block where they emphasis potential flaws over benefits without regard to scale, and fail to actually examine the proposal in terms of net benefits compared to what already exists instead of theoretical perfection.

So, yeah. It's a great idea that's far superior to the system as it currently exists while also relatively simple to implement and, in terms of opportunity cost, it frees up all sorts of time---and it will never happen.

Bump it and place link for sure, because I just compile here 3 ideas (maybe "auto-recover limit of giveaways" just mine?), that been before me and don't find them from first try (just my shame).
