I had never heard of it until my brother move to Switzerland. Calling from the states was not an option way too expensive. Along with text it does have a push to talk feature. So in this case it works well for us.

But that push to talk feature is awkward to use. Just look at someone being cheap and using it instead of doing a real call when they can afford it.
