Issue with a giveaway

Hey guys. I recently opened a giveaway of QUAKE II Mission Pack: The Reckoning that a friend of mine who owed me had bought it. The giveaway finished today and after I sent the game to the winner he told me that he couldn't activate it because it required the base game. I visited the store page and this is what I saw right above the purchase section: Requires the Steam version of QUAKE II to play. Probably my friend didn't realize this because it's not highlighted like other games or DLCs that require base game. And SG doesn't have restrictions for entering this specific game. The winner asked me to reroll and I created a ticket for that but I think even if I reroll the other winner probably won't have the base game either. Any ideas?
(And hey I hope you guys don't think I'm lying about my friend and I'm just regifting a game I won on another website!)

You are right, basically if you reroll it can happen again, if you made it private atleast some people might read the restriction but too late for it now. Steam should have been marked as a DLC.

You can either take the gamble on reroll or have it deleted.

If the first reroll hasn't happened yet close the ticket and ask the winner to agree to delete it instead.

I guess he could try but that would be quite a longshot. I don't think that many people own Quake II.
And if the winner is fine with a reroll I assume he would agree to delete it as well.
OP can then create a thread explaining the situation and invite a few people who have the game to a private GA.

i did that with Killer is dead from the deepsilver bundle... which was region locked, but not known to which.
in the end i got tired of it, and dropped it somewhere for someone to have fun.

I'll probably activate the Tier 2 keys myself since I don't have any of them yet but I'm not sure yet what I'll do with Risen 1&2. Maybe I'll use the new Germany region restriction. Hopefully keys purchased in Austria will work there.

increase the lvl of the giveaway and highlight it on the description
