"You are not logged into Steam"

it's weird, but i had something like that too, or it said the community was unavailable, despite still being up when I asked others.

I got asked this, but because my 2 week-loging passed so I wasn't logged in on my browser. Sadly I don't know why your SG acts like that, it shouldn't - but it's unlikely to cause any problems.

Steamgifts continues to stores your site login (at least for a duration) even if your Steam Community login is no longer active. As such, it's possible to use the site but still get community login notice prompts. [Source: All the times I've been able to continue using the site despite an expired community login :P]

The error you're mentioning appears to happen under two specific circumstances: First, when the Steam servers are on the fritz and not properly recognizing/sending out community login info, and second, during a weird half-logged-in limbo state that appears to pop up every now and then, where it shows you as signed into community but is nevertheless still expecting reauthorization, and thus is not sending out proper information to community-enabled sites.

If restarting your browser doesn't fix it, and it has persisted for a bit, then logging out of Steam Community and relogging/reauthorizing should correct the issue [or at least has for me, the handful of times I've bothered with the hassle].

Client login has nothing to do with any other site using steam login.

It's coming from script (SG++ if I'm not mistaken). For some reason Steam decides to log you off from browser, if you try reloading steam page, you will see you are no longer logged in.
