Maybe I forgot one or two, but those are the ones that still linger in my memory.

Call of Duty, Hitman: Blood Money, Rise of Nations, Fortix, VVVVVV.

Personally there are many best ones. They all excel at their own thing. For example, the ys games are great, but not when you are in the mood for a kingdoms heart type game. I can not answer as I enjoy them all very much at different times.

Just off the WRPG list: Dragon Age: Origins, Oblivion, Skyrim, Icewind Dale series, Dungeons of Dredmor, and WoW (vanilla and early BC, I played too many hours not to consider it, but it fell off to hard to make the "best" list)
