Well... How about dropping $100 almost instantly on a character skin. And I thought EA had a bad reputation.

Quite possibly the worst game I've seen.

Wut.

I think they lost a decimal point there for it to be "micro"transactions.

silly app store guys. you're supposed to go from $.02 through 0.20 and $1 and work your way up to $3, the 100 comes with patience when those three price points add up and in a month he spent 300 by accident without realizing what he was pissing away. Generally this is only cosmetic items, but to be evil slow regen way down and make you pay a few cents to refill your action points or ammo, or skip big time sinks like "building upgrades...finished in 2hrs 20 min".
To be really evil if you luck into an addicting game make the stuff you sell actually impact game play and eventually become so op its pay to win. If at all possible make that realization only happen at the point where hes passed beyond stopping and staying a big fish and reached a level he has to continue to pay to stay competitive or what you've already done was for nothing.

To help sell the illusion you aren't spending real money until the bill comes you're supposed to convert it to some other currency too. like "hero points" or something. This conversion must be one way and shouldn't line up evenly, like buy 800 for $1 but each item has unit costs based on the number 13

Did you do no research? news articles like this are required reading before you do this sort of thing.

I'm fairly sure this is a parody, and the joke flew right over most people's heads. I mean, really, even the most stupid of people wouldn't fall for this if it's real.

But then, I've no knowledge of the app store, so I could be wrong.

There's this app for Android... Seems there is a niche market, apparently been installed between 10 and 50 times o.0

It's no parody. That "company" has actually cranked out multiple games using the same model. It's nothing more than a perfect expression of the worst possible microtransaction model.

Before fu*king killing myself, I want to make sure it was not just a "joke" from the dev....

Anyway, mobile games are infected with in app purchases(that makes me think it's real), but nothing compares to this shit.

Yep a lot of mobile games have in app purchases, which I find either not a problem or the worst thing ever invented.

If there is a way to get the in-game currency / unlock special features without excessive amounts of grinding, I'll not put any money into in app purchases. If it's not possible and you need it for the game to work properly, fuck-that-shit it's getting un-installed. If it is simply paying for cheats that you can't unlock by playing it, but the game is perfectly playable without them, I ignore the in app purchases and play on.

I'll also tolerate ads if they are in the game only and aren't too obtrusive.

Obviously a parody of "I am rich"

I wouldn't say obviously a parody.

More likely some greedy Insert expletive here looking for some money judging by the fact there is 4 copies of the same thing up under different names, a different skin and the same in-app purchases. (and 4 iPad versions as well)

Doubt it... More likely some greedy ass-wipe after a bit of easy cash judging by the number of re-skinned versions of the game he has on the app-store.

He even has the cheek to charge people for 2 of the apps...

OH, and to everyone saying "Just a parody of 'I am Rich'".... Take a look at the developers other games.

For example... Look familiar to you? Look at the in-app purchase list.
