Mostly, yes. But I'm a young teen. No surprise.
I started on LeafGreen/Sapphire and worked my way up. Emerald and the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series are my favorites.
I loaded up a GBA emulator and my old DS a while ago to play again, but I've played them so much I expect everything and win easily, so I have stopped playing. The only thing that will get me to buy another Pokemon game is if they make remakes of Gen 3 and PMD.

I've have always hated PMD
i'm on my first play thru of White 2 ( 5 Badges )
it brings back good old memories of when i had a Pikachu styled GBC and playing Pokemon Yellow on it

Why does everyone not like PMD? I'd really like to know.
Dredmor reminds me a lot of it. They're terribly similar, only PMD has a pretty damn good story.

The Mystery Dungeon games are pretty fun, be they Pokemon, Chocobo, Shiren or any other.
Pity I don't actually own any. D:

Nuzzlocking is terribly fun. and sad. There really isn't a much better way to play pokemon.

Heh there is a great graphic out there (probably from 4chan), it shows middle school kids loving Pokemon games, high school kids thinking that they are too cool and then college kids loving it... it's very true to life =p. If anyone finds the pic, please reply with url!
Edit: Found it, lol it is very true to life! (Plus, some of us probably remember having to whip out a cable to connect our handhelds to fight or trade before the days of wifi) - AwkwardZombie.com - "The Pokémon Effect"

I forgot about that webcomic when my old PC died. Time to look at what they released since then :D

Totally normal. While I don't play the card game, no one plays it when they are young, but you'll see people grow up with collections learn five or ten years after they shove their cards in a box. Everyone plays the handheld gameboy version.

Nothing wrong with it at any age. You play games to have fun. Are older people not allowed to have fun?
Anyway, I'm 28. I own multiple games in each gen, except the original, since I need to replace them after having my old carts stolen.
My really love doing Nuzlocke challenges.

i would not do Nuzlocke challenge atm due to having 2 rares in my party

Get more games. I have 9 right now. 10 if you count my second copy of Emerald, which is a bootleg with a really crappy translation.

I played the original series when I was a kid for the longest time. Tried to get back into it with Emerald, but found that I couldn't connect with this new generation of (what I thought were) weird Pokemon. I missed the originals. But lately I downloaded a GameBoy Advanced emulator on my phone and got Fire Red which is just a remake of the original Red (same stuff, but with better graphics). So yes, I have been playing Pokemon, but it has to be the original Pokemon, I can't handle the new ones.

I decided to stop buying them after Diamond/Pearl, but I still play the ones I own.

I'm 21 and the last official Pokemon I played was Platinum I think, the last one I enjoyed on the other hand was Pokemon Gold. I have to say though, I am still playing PokeMMO, which is Pokemon FireRed but online, with loads of customization etc. all your typical MMO stuff and it's an absolute blast ! I recommend you check it out !

Yep, I played Red on my lime-green Gameboy Color (I still have both the cart and the gameboy, although both have long since been packed away). Last main game (last game would technically be Pokemon Conquest, fun game) I bought/played was Black (I love the Poke-walker that came with HeartGold, it reminded me a bit of the Tamagotchi craze that existed at around the same time); haven't bought Black 2 yet though because I have a huge backlog and so far I have been turned off by the 3DS and have focused on my Vita, but I am really tempted to pick up X (so I might buy a 3DS before October, or snag a special edition Pokemon 3DS because you know Nintendo will release one). I'm amazed that Japan isn't getting this game months ahead of NA; even more of a reason to think that Nintendo will go all out.

Pokemon red was literally the first video game I've ever played. I stopped after silver, but I still have some fondness for it in my heart. I think I beat Red at least 6-8 times, Silver only once (fucking battery issue). Hell I own and beat (Master league) Pokemon stadiums 1 and 2.

Almost every college I've been to has a large group of students playing the newest Pokemon so no its not weird its actually pretty common

I do, I enjoy the games still. Probably the longest time I've played a series of games for, since Christmas 1999 getting Pokemon Yellow.

I only played the original blue and red version. Would play it again if they made a remastered version

I do not play Pokemon anymore, last Pokemon game I played was Diamond.. and I've only completed the game once then stopped playing. I do however watch Pokemon speedruns (werster @ Twitch currently is doing a 24 hour Fire red run, trying to get sub 4 hours)
