Hi guys,

we have invested a lot of time and made our ChromaGun VR ready!
https://twitter.com/pixel_maniacs/status/715577500018020352

Are you guys going to buy an Oculus or Vive?
Do you think it's worth the effort to add VR support?

PS: Here's a GTA V gift for your help! ;-)

I want to go to VR? Yes!! Sure i want!!!!!!
You have the money to buy a new PC, the VR machine, a life insurance because of nausea and photosensitive epilepsy, etc... No

So in a far far away future when a new technology take the place of VR and it becomes cheap yes i will get it. =)

At some point I'd like to, but the following are keeping me from getting on-board at the moment:

1) It's too expensive. The price of the hardware is higher than it was estimated to be by quite a lot.
2) The issue of comfort. Having something like that strapped to your head is bound to get uncomfortable for anything but shorter sessions of time. Then you have to consider people that might have motion sickness, get dizzy, headaches, etc.
3) Lack of content right now. There is content, but it's still fairly early and a lot of things look more like tech demos than fully fleshed out games or software.

I'll going to experiment with google cardboard instead..

Occulus would be the way to go otherwise - it has gotten too much traction due to his long lead in preparing the stage. Vive looks like sillyness not justifying its expensive nature.

Too expensive. Don't have the necesssary PC Hardware or the money for it.
Maybe in a few year when there's more software support for it too.

Not now, possibly in the future if I ever get to try it out first (friend has it, etc.) since it's expensive. I also get nauseous and migraines after watching 3D things, so there wouldn't be much point to buying one if I feel sick every time I use it. I'll admit some of the games do look really awesome though.

It's not worth the money. Maybe when it gets a lot cheaper and when I get a lot better pc. Till then, meeehhh. I would like to try it once though.

Can I afford VR? Sure.
Am I interested in VR? Nope.
Way more interested in actual games, not gimmicks.

I didn't put a response since my answer isn't quite defined yet. I certainly want to, and have a machine that should be able to handle it decently from what I've read, but I don't really have the funds at this time to get into it. If it ever got cheap enough or I just happened across enough disposable income, then I'd certainly love to. At this time, however, I can't see it ever happening.

I'll let the technology evolve itself and when it's in acceptable state for acceptable coin with acceptable content, I'll buy it. I'm not even working full time yet.

tbh i am tempted with it being new technology, but with the 2 being nearly £700/£600 and featuring little to no games which interest me, I'll just wait for it to lower in price and have more games.

And anyway I need to upgrade my CPU to be able to run it smoothly.

But if I was to choose between Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, I'd say HTC Vive because it looks nicer :P

Too expensive for a gimmick. Let me know when it is cheaper and has a decent library.

VR looks cool, but i think i will wait until next gen. when headsets are cheaper and more games that I already own support VR. having a big backorder of non-VR games makes getting a VR headset not a great idea.

I usually let software dictate hardware purchases.

I'll definitely go. But not until at least Rift 2 or Vive 2. Assuming VR survive, of course.

Will you go VR

and then

Are you going to buy an oculus? ;-)

HTC Vive didn't register on your radar?

I'll be avoiding the Facebook Rift until its controllers come out. If it's possible to adblock/spyblock it I might get it. If the controllers work with Vive then that'll win by default.

Or I'll be sensible and wait for VR Gen 2.

When the price of VR goes down enough, I'll give it a shot. That probably means I'll be in for a long wait though.
Plus my graphics card is just outside of the minimum range, so that's a lot of cash on a gamble.

I'll probably just stash the money and use it on a christmas sale :3c

Not available in my country (according to Vive website) and too expensive. Also, I don't think it will do any good for my game taste if it even supported.
