I was gonna say something smart, but decided not to for you`re a brony.

BOI is just plain luck. Sometimes, things look easy. Sometimes, things just want you dead.

Mullibooms, as they're called, are actually only tricky if the room you're in is very enclosed. Also, if you're at a point where you only have a few hearts and you're right before mom, you're probably in a bad spot anyways and wouldn't have made it through the fight even with 2 1/2 to 3 hearts. Really though, do you best to prevent them from trapping you and hope to god you don't have range down or #1.

Cain is the best character by far. No negative effects from pills, greater slot chance, better loot. Everything just pales to him.
I also find Maggy, Eve and Samson all completely useless. Best to avoid those guys unless you know all the tricks.

Lol I'm terrible as well. I blame it on having the DLC installed from the beginning, but I'm probably just shit.

Whats BOI?

Don't worry, the longer you play, the more items you unlock and more familiar with the game you become. I think most of us sucked hard at the beginning of playing BOI :3 Just don't give up ^^

The more you play, the better you'll get. You'll get used to the enemies and unlock more power-ups. Mom is a cakewalk for me most runs now. Of course, I have poured 184 hours into the game so far...

I still haven't defeated MoM After like 70 tries so don't worry this game contains many decisions and some luck. Just try not to rage because it makes this harder to win. Good tip is to destroy the darker rocks that give you stuff, Good Luck!

I played boi 9 hours already and haven't been to the mom's room :(

I always make it to the first room of the depths and die always DIE. FUCK this game. :L I always get shitty items to begin since i don't have any items unlocked :/

Always explore each room in each floor. Don't rush to the boss room. And do try searching for the secret room in each floor. Keep your keys for golden room and only use it for shop if you have extra.

If you have the dlc wrath of the lamb the game is a lot harder
