Just found it here. The free version seems to get pretty good reviews and isn't really CPU intensive. I assume the paid version should be better. Can't argue with free though.

The site has crap loads of free software. Some are crap, but some of them are actually pretty good.

I used Avast! since v4 ... man, those lovely skins ... but then the new versions are slow and crappy, scans take forever, lotsa false positives. I switched to ESET Smart Security plus Malwarebytes and both combined take less recources than Avast!

To be fair I survived a few years on Microsoft Security Essentials before switching to Bitdefender. I like to think I am not weak you know. Please don't burst my bubble.

though i suppose it is like real life,no matter how much you try and be safe, you are never really safe you just do things to keep yourself safer

ESET is sick, I'm using nod32 for 6 years, easily best av in my opinion.
It doesn't affect gaming performance, catches everything and never ever had false positives on important stuff, people who use Avast get so many false positives, it deletes their game (Dota 2 was deleted for Avast users after one update) for some people it also alarms that steam is infected, it also bettertwitchtv marks as false positive but avast doesn't want to fix it...etc, and a lot people use Avast but really no idea why when it sucks...

Also even tho NOD32 is not free, it is like it's free because you can very easy google trial keys.

It baffles me how anyone could take this even remotely serious.
As for anti-viruses and firewalls and whoknowswhatnow, it depends on person to person basis. If it works for ya, great.

The more tech oriented the site, the more AV elitist loonies they attract. It's really weird.

I use common sense since like 8? years ago. Never failed. The only 2-3 times I got a trojan was were when I used an USB drive on someone else's computers.

The funny thing about antivirus back in the day (now they're active, I think) was that they only worked AFTER the OS was infected. In some cases this meant bye-bye OS and data.

It's free again, but for 9 months now, I will install it, because previous promo was about AVG 2015 and it's not that great, the 2014 version was good, but 2015 just detect lots of my Steam games as viruses lol. So maybe Bitdefender will be better.
