browsing is fine but I just dont like relogging in the browser XD since mine is always set to "Always Remember" whenever it autologs and I have to pull up my phone and type the code.

Grrrr.... This funky....
Ive logged steam store ~7x in the last 24hr, just to turn around 2refreshes or 2pageloads later to have to login yet again. the whole time this has been happening the steam community side of things kept me logged without any issues what so ever.. it does not seem to actually be down, but even with the checkbox telling it to remb this login it just keeps logging me out as if the steam store is down (but login without issue says its not down)
is this happening for others too?

been happening non-stop in windows, but yesterday i did notice when i was in linux chrome browser it never once logged me out of the steam store.. so far have not even logged in the steam store on windows today to see.. (possibly clearing cache/cookies might fix, but ive been to lazy to try it)

Well, I use Windows Chrome and last week was horrible, had to log in about 3 times every hour even just checking out a badge page. I did submit a support ticket, so maybe they looked into it, as I haven't had the same issue in a few days or so.

ahh interesting. it didnt once log me out of the community side of things (badge page), but just about every 2-3mins on the steam store side of things.. testing again with windows chrome now, just logged and so far its good, but only tried two refreshes in 2mins.
Edit 17min's in: It did not take long to log me out again :/ cannot even shop knowing what i already own due to this :/ off to linux i go..

It's "scheduled" for 4 PM PST. It is only about 3:30 right now so since you posted this 6 hours ago I would say that it was a different issue. If Steam can connect to the internet but not Steam's servers you will get a message that says "The Steam servers are currently down for routine maintenance" and this can happen at any time, any day of the week.
And they were up 6 hours ago here.

At approximately 4:03 PM PST today Steam went down on my end for about four whole minutes. I had to find something else to do during that time.

I can't open the damn steam client. I click on it and it shows the updating window and then goes like it's going to connect and then nothing. I've tried restarting my PC and still no luck. Anyone else having this issue today?

If anyone else has this issue just delete this file : Delete the file "...\Steam\packages\beta".
