Another year has passed, so let's celebrate with a leftover train!

Things are looking up for me at least a little bit. Got a new job as a museum tour guide which is (or was?) entirely outside of my skills but it's refreshing to try something new. It doesn't pay well, but I like it so that's that :)

Oh well, enough about me, train isn't anything special but I hope you'll something that you want to play. Hop on aboard!

As always here's something for my blue hearts and certain group members and here's a little consolation for anyone below level 3. Hope to see you again in this train next year, cheers! :)

Got a new job as a museum tour guide

That's so cool, what kind of museum is that?

It's a museum of the history of computers and information technology. It's quite nice cause guests can play on (or at least touch) many computers in the museum, just a few more valuable machines are behind glass. It's a trip down memory lane for some and a way to experience history for others :)

Thanks for the cat!

That sounds fun, what's the most valuable computer you have there?

Well it's hard to say as it often is with antiques. Cray Y-MP EL is an easy answer as it was a supercomputer worth about 1 million dollars in early 90's. Mainframe computer Odra 1305 (in full working order) is another good shout, but we also have a few lesser known (to the extent that they don't even have their pages in wiki ;) ) polish computers of which there are maybe a few in the hands of private collectors.

As for something a little bit more known - we have PDP-8, PDP-11 (on which you can play the very first tetris!) or one of the first laptops Osborne-1. Most of the stuff comes from donations :)
