I mean they probably aren't stupid. After having many "pausing" to jump instantly back near the end of the bundle probably is sort of red flag. I wouldn't be surprised if they are trying out several months without coupons to see whether people still would buy Choice for full price.

I understand that last minute changes may happen in an emergency situation (that is, taking into account that it was an unexpected circumstance and not a simple matter of bad faith) but given the fact that HB has been behaving erratically for some time creates a certain discomfort about what to expect in the future...

That's why I am hesitant to buy multiple yearly memberships when it comes on sale at the end of the year. As much as I would like to buy 3x yearly memberships and get 36 months of Choice, I don't want to get screwed over if IGN shuts Humble down or anything.

Check if you have a coupon listed in your account. If you do then it should apply the coupon when you resume. If you don't have a coupon then you wont get the discount.
I got the coupon on the account that my sub was inactive/cancelled on, but not on the account that's paused. May have only been sent to people that cancelled
