How far is Ark with optimisation?

I want to buy this game, but when i tried it a couple months ago it was very buggy... i was lucky if I reached 20 fps on low.

My specs :
Windows 10 64 bit
Nvidia geforce GT 840M (4GB VRAM)
Intel core i5 5200 (dual core)
8 GB RAM

How far are they into development? Can I reach reasonable fps on low now or still not? If not will I be able to later?

I'm on a "similar" setup, barely maintained 20 on low when I tried it as well. Good looking game, not worth the stress, personally.
