This is what they say.
In practise I can change between Sweden, Hungary, Japan any time I want. :) I even have same never-used account set up for Russia and Canada. If you can make a Steam wallet payment while choosing a region somehow, they will lock it in gladly and offer it as a selectable region any time.

I used to live in China.
After I came back to Turkey I found out I was still getting Chinese prices.
Then I changed my address and it started to give me Turkish prices.
I believe you have to type an adress in that area to be able to get that countried prices..
Note: You can buy and play games but you can't share them with someone.

You'll need to show them an ID or something that states you leave there. Even if you do so, I think that games are not just region-restricted to buy but region-restricted to play as well.
Don't quote me on this, but if it really is like I said, you won't be able to play the games when you'll return back to your country.

Well like I said the ID is not the only problem you'll run into. Even if you somehow manage to get an ID or something and buy games in those regions, when you'll return to your country you'll probably won't be able to play them. You will have to use a VPN to do so and that seems to be risky.

You can change region and with a Wallet top-up it'll offer games from then on. But all of those regions are locked, so if you ever move outside their IP range, you won't be able to access the games bought there, unless you use a VPN… which will violate Steam ToS and may result in account suspension. (Low chance, but it is there.)

I'll see what I can do ;)

So due to work I'll be traveling possibly through Russia, India, Asia and I'm wondering is it smart to change my STEAM region and use the region discounts.
Are there any repercussions or drawbacks to the games I buy?
Which games have a huge discount compared to EU prices and are worth buying?
Example The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is around 10€ in India region while in EU it's around 30€
Any other suggestions, advice or opinions on this?
