The creators of Stories: The Path of Destinies, Spearhead Games are about to release their next ARPG-like adventure/mystery hybrid, Omensight.

Currently, they are running a promotion on the official site. Simply put, wishlist Omensight on Steam, screencap it, and send it to the devs as sort of a group effort.
https://www.omensight.com/wishlist-quest/
Oh yes, the quest runs until official release. It is on 15 May, but the easiest to see that is to open the Steam page, since it should have an hour counter in the last days or so.

Since I know the community here loves freebie games, I should mention that one of the lower goals is sending Steam keys to all participants for Stories: TPoD. Yes, potential to farm some CV with one click of a button, if enough people jump on the bandwagon.
(Since I bought Omensight, I am hoping for the artbook and OST, but hey, whatever it needs to make some people do something. :3)

Edit: Also, if you don't mind risking on the usual pre-order business (as a small-scale studio, the game is almost surely going to be buggy), the game itself is at -20% right now at Humble Store (-28% for Monthly suscribers), meaning it is around 12€. The discount lasts until game launch, too. Sadly, no news yet about a GOG release (Stories is on GOG)Omensight is on GOG too, but they did not put it up before launch. Damn, and I already activated my Steam key. :/

====================

Aaaaand it is over now. Got to 50k+, woohoo! (Free OST! :3)

Gonna jump on?

Yes, because helping such a community event bonds us stronger together as gamers who support the independent gaming industry
Nah, why should I do the bidding of some barely-known indie dev who are lusting for attention?
All I saw was "free game" and I don't care about the rest

Been eyeing Stories for a bit, so this is a definite +1 from me <3

Already own the game and DLCs, but entered if maybe it reaches those DLCs for Omensight (assuming they're steam codes) :P

This seems to be a fully Steam promotion, the PS4 version is rather kept in the background. I assume Valve's 30% cut is still the better deal over Sony's PS Store fees. The current Humble discount also indicates a larger commitment towards the PC version.

As far as I understand it there is no Valve cut if you sell/gift your keys outside of Steam. But not sure how consoles handle keys, if they get the same 30% or a smaller percent, I doubt they do it for free as Steam does it, though.

Digitally consoles are same than Steam (though they take same cut from keys too unlike Steam) and you aren't allowed to sell keys yourself, it's done by console manufacturers themselves.
20% licensing fee for physical games. (But physical games do have additional ~30% cut for distributor/retailer and manufacturing costs)

Really odd promotion for such a nice game, but Stories: The Path of Destinies is definitely a fantastic game to receive for free.
I'm really curious what their top tier reward is going to be though. I highly doubt they'll giveaway 100,000 keys for Omensight.

Appreciate you posting about this, otherwise I would not have heard.

I have had Stories: The Path of Destinies on my wishlist for awhile now, but have yet to get around to buying it, and I'd love to try out Omensight if I were so lucky (looks good and I like ARPGs). Seems like a win win.
