“We have unfortunately discovered that an illegal attempt has been made to access certain of our online websites, leading to the download of a database containing usernames, email addresses and encrypted passwords. Please note due to the encryption of the passwords it is very unlikely that anything nefarious can be done with this information."
No thread popped out on a search so... maybe someone ought to know to take care.

They cannot even keep themselves from getting hacked, no wonder the games they made are hacked up the ass.

For what purpose, exactly? I don't recall writing an essay on the topic.

Well you'll realize that what you said is completely pointless. Almost every major company suffers "hacking" of some degree in their lifetime. As for the "hacked up the ass", never had a hacker in any game of Arma 2 or Arma 3 before. If you are talking about DayZ - just play private hives 90% of the time that's problem solved, and for that matter the chance of meeting a hacker in game is just as high as meeting a hacker on CoD or Battlefield or any other game.

I don't know of anyone other than you two that took my comment this seriously. It was an obvious joke that you two somehow took enough offense that you felt the need to defend the company that doesn't deserve it.

With a 256 bit encryption, good luck doing that in less than 10 years.

Unsalted MD5... Less than second to some passwords?

It does really depend on their practises and how well encryption is done. Either it's nearly nothing or sufficient for now...

LMAOOOO someone hacks a whole website steals priceless data, and they think these "low time" hackers cant decrypted, encrypted passwords? yea ...right

Well, yeah. Poorly managed and secured systems that still use strong encryption do exist.

The most common hacking method for websites' databases isn't very complicated. It's quite simple really. Getting hacked with that method usually means your website's security sucked. Not going to name the method since I don't know if that's allowed.

You clearly are a security expert and know how "leet hackers" hack.
Even the NSA's servers have gotten hacked into and data "compromised". By compromised, I mean downloaded without permission and only if the hackers owned 3 of the top 5 super computers in the world could they brute force decrypt the data. So I guess what Im trying to tell you, you know, tl;dr, is that hacking and compromising data doesnt mean you can actually use the data. Of course, for all we know, they could have stored the information in a plain txt file. shrugs

No wonder why, in Arma II hackers were able to steal your cdkeys running some scripts on mp servers.

Thanks to Bohemia Interactive devs and Battleye.
