Today seems I finished the game Borderlands GOTY, but I didn't understand WTF, I'm only level 36 when in game are total of 69 levels( some ppl say lvl 50 is maximum but I found info that 69 is) and I didn't enjoyed DLC content yet......I see now I can play second playthrough starting with all items I have and level, and there is more loot in some places, and NPCs are higher level too. But I really don't like to spend again all the hours I spent playing it, I should start to play Borderlands 2 now? because playing 2nd play through will be the same no? or when I will unlock DLCs maps?

I really liked the game, I have one Sniper from level 12 with +116% damage that is better than lvl 36s ,and Shotgun from level 21 with 136% damage and 2 projectiles fired more, obviously both are Jakobs manufacturer, a Repeater Pistol with x4 fire and Atlas Combat Rifle with +78% damage, +34 bullet storage and x3 explosion, a good Revolver and obviously an Eridian weapon (don't know if all ppl have the same, because one big guy boss from Atlas gave me after death, he also had 2 "gorillas" companions when I fought with him :D).

Borderlands's first playthrough is meant to end around level 35 so you can continue leveling through the second playthrough. Also, you can begin the DLCs at any time on the first playthrough by going to any fast travel post and going to either Jakobs Cove, Tartarus Station, The Underdome, and some other 4th place.

Yeah, the second play through changes according to your level, so it's still pretty fun.

From what I remember, the playthroughs have fixed levels, until you get to the final one. You are obviously expected to be level 1 for the first playthrough, but the second was something like 35?

I remember playing through the main game, then going through the DLCs, and then being overpowered for the second playthrough of the main game because Gearbox hadn't considered DLC when creating the replay difficulty levels.

Gearbox mucking up the difficulties was one of my issues with Borderlands. "Level" was just too important, and being more than a couple of levels off of the "expected" level either made things super easy or super hard.

to play the dlc, go to a fast travel station. you'll find stuff like jacobs cove and whatnot to start it. I'm currently on the zombie DLC and it's rather different tonally even though the cannon fodder enemies are a pain in the ass. I think the maps do look really fucking cool and stylistically its better than the main game, weirdly enough.

The game is meant to be played over and over again and with friends to make it even more fun. All 4 dlcs adds about 10-25 hours I think which gives you more hours of looting, lvling, and fun! I have a Lvl 69 Roland and Lvl 40 Siren and I can see myself still playing it. It's only fun if you play with a friend or 2 =/

Se nota que eres Español! xD

The point is that you really "have to" play the dlcs, they're great. And finishing Borderlands vanilla with level 36 is not a big deal, the deal is beating Bucherax with taht level, alone. LOL

SO yeah! Play the dlcs and then if you don't want to play BD1 again in a higher difficulty level, just play BD2.

The game is meant to be played through multiple times to get to max level, also the DLC is really fun.
