Contacting your bank and/or humble support is generally more useful than a forumpost. And since you already did that, wait it out :)
In any case, stay calm and don't worry: they should refund the money.

It usually takes 2-3 days for a bank refund to process.

As neokarasu mentioned, other than that, just continue to follow up with your bank and Humble. One or the other should sort you out after a bit.

Your bank probably put the funds on hold while the ticket was being reviewed rather than withdrawing it outright. Call the bank and see what the situation is and then followup with HB why your account was flagged. It might be a false positive since they introduced a new method of detection back in Summer that still needs to be tweaked a bit from what I've heard.

It will get sorted. They currently have a 5+ day wait time for tickets. I submitted a ticket at the start of last week which took 6 days for the first response and 3 for the second. It takes a while, but they're helpful and it will get sorted out. :)

Lol, have you never canceled an order in your life? The original charge has to go through before it can be refunded.

What he means is that the way the system works here is such that Humble Bundle has not received your money yet. They have an authorization, but no transfer has occurred. Until the transfer has taken place they have nothing to give you.

What is most likely to transpire here is that the hold on your account will be dropped, and your available balance will be updated accordingly. It is likely to take a few days though.

In worst case I waited 30 days to cancel transaction. But I dont wrote a ticket.. (using proxy to buy things from usa)

I've had nothing but good luck with Humble's support staff whenever I needed them. Even in a case where the issue was on my end they helped me out.
I'm sure it will get resolved. Just have to hang in there a while, you aren't the only case they have.

I've only had issues with humble's slow response, as in, they not returning my money in time so I could buy the bundle again before the bundle ended for sale.

I've probably missed around 20+ bundles thanks to humbles purchase problems and slow support responses. (and I've bought well over 200 bundles from them).

Each time, it was all humbles fault, they still should have allowed me to buy said bundle(s) after they went off sale, because it was all their damn fault. Or at the very least, humble should keep several bundles in reserve for issues like these.

So now when I get a purchase problem with humble, I go through friends and/or family to buy said bundle for me.

If you don't mind me asking what type of payment do you use ? I usually use PayPal wallet or PayPal direct debit and I've never had a problem.

I use paypal, and paypalwallet if i just happen to have any at that time.

edit: and this could be minorally solved by humble using a wallet system too, or an 'honor' system, for fuck sake, I've spent like $3,000 on bundles+store purchases from them, what do they think I'm going to do, not pay?

And yes, every time I went to buy bundle, I had money to cover it, so it wasn't on my end.

Weird. Guess I was just lucky so far.

Yea I would love if they would let us use Humble Wallet to buy Bundles. Haven't topped it up yet because since you can only use it for Store purchases it's useless for me.

That question didn't even occur to me because when I don't have enough wallet the rest gets covered with direct debit.

On a side note, humble has been rather good when it comes to ME actually cancelling payment (like when I've bought a bundle that all came on a single key, I refunded some of those kind of bundles, can't stand those).

In my experience with banks, the money usually shows back up in my account three days after the cancellation. But I've never done that with HB.

Considering you're necroing a thread from nearly 5 years ago and that the creator hasn't connected to SG in nearly 3 years, I wouldn't really count on getting an answer.

The bank does not charge you immediately, just locks the amount until it gets a success/fail response from the recipient. In case of a fail response, they'll release the locked amount. If no response comes in X days, the locked amount is freed up. Basically the bank is allowed to sit on your money for a maximum of 30 days.

Do note that User Content rule #11 ("[No] Unreasonable Bumping") in the Site Guidelines means that any necroing which doesn't provide new, constructive information, is classifiable as "Inappropriate Behavior" and subject to a minimum site suspension length of 2 days. You should probably also consider avoiding necroing simply out of respect for the other members of the community of whichever site you're on. In the case of SG, necroing a "Deals" thread is especially problematic, as you're cluttering a forum that is reliant on the visibility of its active threads.

As far as any questionable charges, it's best to take that up with your credit card provider, Paypal, or your bank, as is more relevant to your purchase method. Your payment method provider will be able to tell you if it's a held payment or a processed one, and be able to inform you of any steps needed for moving forward. Generally speaking, you'll want to make a "good faith effort" to discuss the matter with the merchant [in this case, Humble] before taking any steps to reverse the payment. Note also that payment reversal can result in punitive actions by the merchant (such as locking your account), regardless of the legality or ethics of such an action. It's best to back up all your purchases off Humble before proceeding with such an action (especially given how poor Humble's present reputation is).

Unfortunately, Paypal is extremely unreliable when it comes to recovering payments. Payments from bank accounts also sometimes don't offer a full reversal (or only offer a yearly limit on such), instead just giving a maximum protection on fraudulent charges, so that may also fall through. If you've paid with credit card, however, you're generally extremely safe when it comes to fraudulent charges. This article seems a good reference point for understanding credit card related reversals, based on my past knowledge of such.

humblebundle charged me than cancel my order. its been more than 15 days money did not returned back to cc yet. I never have a single issue about canceling or recovering with my cc cards over 20 years except this scam humblebundle site. Problem is on their side basically they put the money on hold and using that money for the time being (waiting maximum time for fail response from their side)

Anyways I write to reddit, trustpilot, twitter, fb and some social media, family lawyer is also examining the policy. I just try to express a recent thing happened at these 16 days, Now I am relaxed. Money burned or not is not my concern anymore. Some wrong things has to change unless you raise your voice and heard,

true that and sorry to hear that. One thing I learned about marketing course is service service service. Nothing is free, we buy and pay and ofcourse we want a good service in return. I am a customer, I just pay, get the service and done. I dont want nothing more or less. Especially no headache,
