To be honest, it was kinda awesome. There is talent in the animation, regardless of it being commissioned by Microsoft.
Besides, IE ain't that bad. After all, where else are you gonna go on a new PC to download something else?

Hmm, while I don't really care for IE I think it's BS they would be fined for not giving people the option for something else from the get-go. IE is perfectly capable of accessing the internet and if people want to use other software they can seek it out themselves. Microsoft shouldn't have to provide links/downloads to non-Microsoft products just because.

Tell me, what other browser than Safari is available by default on a fresh MacOS or iOS install? What else than Chrome is there on a new Android setup? Why should anyone be forced to provide links to competitor's products?

Ok, fine, it was average I suppose. Still, requires a certain level of talent to be able to produce.
It's not like the animation was terrible just because it had Microsoft branding in it; I thought it was kinda cool. Better than 99% of commercials you see elsewhere :)

Well yes and no. IE is still considered "butt of the joke" even with its enhanced increments.

It's actually pretty accurate.
It is only once the entire city is wrecked by invading forces that she actually takes any action, and even then all she gets is a token victory at best. The transformation sequence indicates slow-down, right? Right?
But seriously, this animation would have been better saved for a time if they built a new version of IE from the ground up, and made it exceptionally less vulnerable to exploit. Then the symbolism of the turn-around in a devestated city might actually be pretty cool?

Actually, that's kinda awesome, even though it makes little sense.

What the fuck microsoft? Are you serious?
I'm sorry but you can't beat firefox, she's hotter
Yes the animation is pretty awesome, its just a real shame to see all that money and talent go to waste on Microsoft flaunting their fat wallets trying to sell us their broken browser.
